PATT...where did you source that comment from the DT Head of technology "we are using Ethernity". That is quite a statement and clearly has major implications for us all!

DT were one of 3 pushing Dell to speak to Ethernity about the DU interface. Ethernity are feeding into these OEMs contracted to DT. Orange and Vodafone are also contracted to Dell. All will become clear but it is clear that the most innovative and creative will be using the most radical solutions and those are Ethernity.
Fujitsu I suspect are another major server vendor that are driving the DU ready server.
The difference really boils down to the amount of functions, features and services Ethernity run through the NIC. I suspect the winning OEMs will be those that pick the best selection from the catalogue of virtual products for their solutions. Certainly this is where products will differ.
So far Ethernity has probably just provided test samples but orders will flow through OEMs and Integrators once deployments in volume starts.

if you are talking to me, why would I want to mortgage my house (actually houses) when I am 60 years old? Sounds a bit silly to me.

Thanks 504. This all tallies with a report I was reading a couple of months ago but was too depressed to post. But I am better now:

Basically Deutsche Telecom started rolling out Open Ran in Naubrandenberg recently as it beta trials. Now it is rolling out nationside.

Key parts of the review are:

"Why the interest? Addressing reporters by video conference days before Mobile World Congress (MWC), Nemat grumbled about the "lack of choice" in today's radio access networks. "The radio unit on top of the antenna pole and the baseband at the bottom have to come from the same vendor," she said. O-RAN is all about what Nemat champions as "disaggregation.""

Hello!!!! What might that be? Yes. UEP2025

"The delay so far relates to certain "disadvantages" of O-RAN compared with traditional technology. And the key one seems to be energy efficiency."

Hello!!! What might that be? Yes, ENET IP.

Look, I am sold on the tech and lets recognise that fact. However, this seems pretty clear that DT really must be rolling out using ENET IP and that we are on the cusp of greatness. A market going from 1 groat to 1 hundred billion in two years.

Some interesting facts here. Last year a prominent survey said more than 60% of respondents said they planned to deploy Open RAN within two years. So that's this year and next, flipping the switch on 5g Open ecosystem deployment. That's deploy so procurement and design prior to that.
Some interesting alliances from equipment and solution providers several of those candidates for Ethernity solutions in their offerings.
I believe that the relationships are such that ultimately the whole industry is boiling down to really a very few actual solutions with defacto best in class taking many of the sales. Be it through Dell or Fujitsu or whoever. All with subtle changes in capacity, performance and connectivity flexibility as they differentiate their product. Ultimately though they will be selling into their trusted market through (inside) Integrators.
UEP for indoor mm wave module and DU from Ethernity are very likely in my opinion to be regarded as the defacto solutions for openRAN by the majority of OEMs taking the bulk of the sales.
As the market opens up over the next 6 months Ethernity will experience a surge of orders through OEMs and Integrators. Small to start but a surge no less.

Welcome to H2. I have a very good feeling about this. Not just me buying today. It will take very little to get this moving.

After all the successful deployments some still don't believe in it

private networks becoming a reality right now in India. India is a prime opportunity for Ethernity. One OEM already engaged for global production of a cell site router product. Delayed 20/21 production due to covid and slow progress on 5g rollout. Adaption complete and we wait on mass production news.

This could be interesting for Tarana and for Ethernity.

Really. I think you are in some fantasy world. I look in when I feel like it not when you say I can. I comment when I look in if I feel like it, I don't wait for your permission.
Yes I am a qualified skipper what of it. What are you apart from a depressed loser

Another exciting week for captain 'only checks the board once or twice a day'. We all know you sit there for 12 hours a day waiting for someone to make a comment so why lie about that as well.. this board is your life but everyone on it thinks you're a bellend.

Let's hope the patt curse doesn't hit Enet.. STX the latest donkey that looks to be off to the glue factory. That funding arrangement is even worse than 5g!

My client is counting on it March 23 at 40p looking to double their money. I am buying at a 60% discount so should both do very well if they do it.

Agree 504, warrants counting down. 9 months to go. Will need a good 2nd half to give themselves a fighting chance.

As they have told us that they are moving to production it really follows that the next stage is delivery to the OEMs.
We already know that they are shipping targeted production Q4 so must be in targeted production prior to shipping which really must be in the next few weeks.
Of course there's plenty more that they can talk about. Fabrication of XGS-PON starting Q2 for shipping Q4. Normalisation of production after with minimum guaranteed quarterly sales.
The $400k SoC order with revenue 2022 to a global wireless OEM based in Europe. This SoC comes with wireless bonding and IPSec security. So not a vanilla $150 FPGA SoC. This allows the OEM to build their solution with Ethernity advantage. Revenue and we assume sales 2022 with more anticipated after.
UEP-60 the indoor hardened radio module. Revenue of $930k flagged for 22 plus potentially $1m more in 23. We know that this won't happen as planned but we do know that this unit is customised and ready for production into the initial $930k order. This is a custom product but I expect them to switch to UEP2025 for future orders as it probably more versatile.
UPF partnered with TietoEvry should be gaining traction as many private networks are selecting Integrators or taking the role like Dish have with support. TietoEvry are huge and have massive reach. They are committed to Ethernity for their ecosystem.

Then there's the stuff that we don't know about yet.
Maybe tomorrow but definitely soon. They want those warrants triggered and will in my opinion make that happen.
