They may clear at or below the current sp, but unfortunately not taking that risk -

Not the green tech that is withering but the companies trying to develop it. Won't get much help from UK govts but hopefully will elsewhere.

Suppose the fact that Eqtec themselves are recommisioning some previous failures is a clue.

"Rocket" well and truly straight back down to earth!! Fingers crossed for quick relaunch.

Bought a small holding in these last year and it seems to be in continual decline. Been watching my main holdings and took my eyes off these! Has the green revolution withered or does anyone think there is still hope?

Folderboy. If what Rolf Geritsen, CEO of MNRG, said yesterday in the Stockbox interview about the Italia plant being operational, producing electricity and biochar was not true then EQT would be forced to issue a disclaimer.
Which they have not done.

Also he said the same thing last Friday, indirectly, in the Broker note.

So the timing of EQT statements to the market seem to be based on:

1. Get the bad news out of the way first ie reporting today.

2. Follow with the good news on the Italia MDC allowing additional time since the start up to make sure any issues arising do not jepodise the successful commercial operations of the plant.

If already agreed with the local DNO, yes pretty much. From December RNS: 'We expect early in the new year to carry out the biochar test required for the offtake contract and commence export of electricity to the grid under the existing power purchase agreement.'

Surely it would need to run reliably for some time, to actually be connected to the grid and generating revenue. Thats what the mnrg guy said.

I don’t know the technical issues of grid connection - perhaps you can just flick a switch on and off when you fancy it, having set up an arrangement with the grid. If it works like a house with solar panels perhaps you can - its just connected and if the sun comes out, hey presto.

It wouldn't be unreasonable to expect the company to run the system for a short time to ensure that it is working properly and not going to fall over before making an announcement to the world that it is fully operational. About a week perhaps? I don't know how long they would need to be confident that they've cracked it, but I'm certainly hoping that that's the reason for no RNS so far.

Has it been problem free and is it still running ? Amazing if all is going well and they wont officially say . I would doubt that scenario so maybe its not running

Italy already is up and running. They waited for the Altair selling to finish and probably a bit of fine tuning as well as time taken to move from manual to automation production.

Italy being in production and connecting to grid is very significant for eqt and therefore would require an rns.

To put it charitably, I reckon Align have had Chinese Whisper sources and haven’t actually checked the facts.

Have you not read below the reason for why they sold? They just de-risked the loan.
