If they are struggling to find someone better, they may just appoint Stella on a permanent basis.

Bill Hornbuckle -- Chief Executive Officer and PresidentYes. Look, I think Stella, their new CEO, is a breath of fresh air. She's been extremely transparent, she took Adam Greenblatt, who is the CEO of BetMGM to India to get under the covers, to meet with the design development teams. So, she had him speak at a town hall about the importance of BetMGM and all that mattered and so we're excited by that.We think it's movement in the right direction, and it's something that, frankly, heretofore hadn't happened. And so, that's all affirmative and positive. Everyone is agreeing to the road map. It's an extensive road map on product development, and it's going to take some time and energy and some investment, particularly on Entain's behalf, and they're fully supportive of that. And so, yes, I think things have changed and I think for the much better.Https://www.fool.com/earnings/call-transcripts/2024/05/01/mgm-resorts-international-mgm-q1-2024-earnings-cal/

Barry and current management are no better than Kenny. They declined an offer almost double our share price now.

Surely, if he/they knew of the impending regulatory impact, then they should have accepted the offer then??!

The past is the past and the main question is where does the company performance and share price from here. Future is potentially compelling, assuming no further unforeseen risks.

Surely a 600m+ fine indicates how Entain is now paying for the 'glory days' of King Kenny.
That's 150m a year(if ENT are paying as proposed over 4 years) or over 20p a year that could have been given out as a dividend.

Also - for years analysts were talking about 'regulatory risk'. It didn't happen for years - now its here in a big way.

Just think - how big would profits have been if the regulatory crackdown had happened 10 years ago?

Sadly, going forward from here, betting companies will be less profitable than previously. Obviously.

Well he has been restricted in taking other roles in the sector due to prior actions and indeed Entain engaged lawyers to see if could recoup prior comp

Kenny was a cowboy riding a wave and bending rules... Entain are now paying the price for that - both figuratively and literally (ie turkey)

The rise had nothing to do with the repricing package. That news came out at 7 am. The share price increase was at 3 pm!!!

From II closing report:

Entain rose 2.1%, after it announced the repricing of two existing Term B loans, which it said will improve liquidity by about GBP295 million.

The Isle of Man-based bookmaker, which owns Ladbrokes and Coral, said the changes applied to a USD term loan worth USD1.74 billion, and a EUR term loan worth EUR1.03 billion.
