I would have thought that it would be difficult to control the 8000psi gas pressure using completion fluid. Does anyone know how they increase the density of the fluid without introducing solid particles?

Dempsey Gas Well Testing Update

Sacgasco Limited (ASX: SGC) advises that preparations for completing and flow-testing the Dempsey 1-15 well are continuing as planned. As usual with completion operations in the area the activities at Dempsey are being conducted on a single shift, Monday-to-Friday work week basis.
To date surface wellhead and high-pressure Blow Out Preventer (BOP) equipment have been stringently tested. Initial equipment tests resulted in the need to replace some of the large safety-critical equipment. Downhole casing and liner-overlap integrity testing has also been completed.
Prior to perforating the lowermost zones in the well for natural gas flow evaluation, the lower well bore needs to be cleaned out; cement bond log run and evaluated for well bore protection integrity; and then the assembly and running of completion equipment and tubing conveyed perforating tools is required.

Anyone trying to play it too clever better give up and buy in today, as it must be odds on for news in the next 24-48 hrs. After that it will be too late as this is going to explode (hopefully not literally of course!). GLA holders!!

No, and there won't be for a bit as they have a lot to do and they have to do it very carefully.

I wish people would stop putting their own, perceived timescales on this, rush it and there is every chance of blocking the well. This is what they told everyone in last week's RNS

Dempsey 1-15

Potential gas pay was identified in
the shallower well section and
wireline log data have confirmed a
number of gas saturated zones in
the deeper, primary targets. As
there have not been any other wells
drilled to this depth which would
have assisted in interpretation of the
data received, testing is essential to
prove whether the rocks are capable
of commercial flow rates.
Dempsey 1-15 may well prove to be
the breakthrough well to unlock the
potential of the relatively undrilled
Early Cretaceous section of the
Sacramento Gas Basin.

I didn't know about the forum they had/have at fool, I used their site a couple years back quite a lot to learn about finance and investment. Good write up, hopefully it's timing will lubricate the 30p mark into the news. I think the market was unprepared to surpass 30 with any conviction at the point it touched upon it but with the progress since that high I believe we have a much better chance of keeping the momentum into the early 30s with Dempsey news, half ton area on a positive flow and volume which would surely face resistance in the near term without news flow elsewhere but Christmas is expected to bring China news which is going to appeal to investors that see Sacramento as a yahoo punt by some tiddlers chasing rainbows. Which it isn't, but having nuanced points of interest to subsets of investors and traders helps liquidity and should be seen for what it's worth. Imho dyor coyh
