04/11/2017 11:03 | Just to remind everyone- 1st Nov Empyrean Energy (EME: AIM), the oil and gas development company with interests in China, Indonesia and the United States, is pleased to announce that it has been informed by Sacgasco Limited (ASX: SGC) (“SacgascoR Safety testing of the equipment is on-going ahead of the perforation of the lowermost zones in the well for natural gas flow evaluation. Prior to this, a number of steps need to be taken including the cleaning out of the lower well bore; cement bond log run and evaluate for well bore protection integrity; and then the assembly and running of completion equipment and tubing conveyed perforating tools is required. Empyrean CEO Tom Kelly commented, “With significant gas shows observed whilst drilling we are eager for the completion of the Dempsey well. Sacgasco has been putting all the necessary preparations in place for the upcoming testing operations including the stringent testing of the equipment to ensure a safe operation. The gas meter station at the Dempsey well which is owned by the JV is ready for gas flows to allow any commercial discovery to be fast tracked into production and sales, and we look forward to providing the market further information as testing unfolds.” Dempsey Prospect and Dempsey 1-15 Well Dempsey is a large structure mapped with 3D seismic and interpreted by Sacgasco to have the potential to hold a prospective resource of over 1 Tcf of gas in up to seven stacked target reservoirs. Individual, unrisked Deterministic Prospective Resources for the primary targets range from 116 Bcf to 352 Bcf of recoverable gas. Should all the stacked reservoirs be full of gas, the cumulative unrisked recoverable Prospective Resources within the Dempsey prospect could exceed 1 Tcf. The primary targets are interpreted in a series of Cretaceous sandstone reservoirs that exhibit structurally consistent amplitude anomalies similar to those that are observed on seismic data elsewhere in the basin where conventional sandstone reservoirs have trapped natural gas in mapped structural closures, for example the Tulainyo / James and Alvares wells. Aside from compelling technical merit, the Dempsey 1-15 well location sits next to existing gas metering and surface infrastructure that is owned by the joint venture. This will allow for any gas discovery to be tested and connected into the local pipeline at relatively low cost and in an accelerated timeframe. This announcement has been reviewed by Empyrean's Technical Director, Mr Frank Brophy BSc (Hons), who has over 40 years experience as a petroleum geologist. 04/11/2017 08:31 | On 23rd August announcement TK said they would be able to fast track and announce the 3d seismic testing results for Jade and Topaz within weeks....it is now just over 10 weeks since then.... Have I missed anything? And views would be welcomed thank you | newtonaj
04/11/2017 08:06 | I seem to remember that when they announced which rig they said with a crew of 4 so those hours and a 5 day week seem correct when I think about it. | stewart4700
04/11/2017 01:30 | petercrosby 3 Nov '17 - 23:26 - 11881 of 11882 0 0 I still think this is a deliberate go slow, for whatever reason? Why else would you only have the drill crew on single shift Mon - Fri? .................... They are not drilling might be the answer - they are preparing for flow testing which requires a different set of skills and normal practice to use only one nine to five shift to carry them out! | harrissen

03/11/2017 23:09 | Like the oyster in a parking meter metaphor. Of course, it rather depends on how thick the potential pay zone is.... tricky if it's a couple of meters, more like putting an oyster in a letter box if the potential pay zone is 20/30 metres. | ![]() thegreatgeraldo

03/11/2017 20:33 | Yes flow test next week on the cards unless some unforeseen obstacle stops it happening and if it flows at commercial levels the companies involved will in theory be cash rich - ever heard of the futures market? Expect not as you spent 40 years drilling holes and never knew what well integrity meant it would be expecting too much for you to know what future selling is all about. | harrissen
03/11/2017 20:17 | Wow sensitive much here Lies? The lies are 30p 57p 100p 200p flow next week instant cash etc disgraceful give yourselves an upper cut look at the chart look at the depth scary trying to run the perf gun will be like trying to slot an oyster into a parking meter good luck anyway | brimsley

03/11/2017 14:36 | currypasty, I use IG but just to give an overall view of oil company prices. The spreads are too wide for my liking. Anyway, I seem to remember them saying that all stops are now guaranteed. There is no need to select a guarantee option and the fee is only payable if and when the stop is triggered. | ![]() the guardian
03/11/2017 14:14 | That's my point oil. Obvious case | tidy 2
03/11/2017 14:01 | That did the trick Curry! I hate the new IG layout, so always use the old one which you might be able to get at through "My IG". They do offer guaranteed stops - but not at levels that make it attractive. It's the same with all small O&G stocks waiting for news, their guaranteed stop levels are awful - but you can't really blame them I suppose. Imo | ![]() jemjem |
