Document below covers the southern area, so not quite the area where Dempsey is. It states porosity values of 25-35% for the sandstones. However, I am sure I read that the lower cretaceous deep sandstone plays of the northern Sacramento valley were around 20% porosity but cannot find that link at the moment.

Throughout drilling history, most oil and gas was produced from rocks that had ten to several hundred millidarcys. One darcy (1000 millidarcys) is a huge amount of permeability!"

In other words they found Shells in the lower drill area which proved it was once beach or seabed sand. TK was very excited about this.
