The bit that I got from Gary's interview was his use of the word easily when describing gas flows from the shallows. By implication if revenues easily covers initial production costs Dempsey is profitable even if the deeps do not flow. The shallows are the fall back position and should limit the downside and prevent any lurid P & A type headlines

Less than three weeks till the work over starts!.

Will definitely be producing from Dempsey.

Pipes and meter prepared and ready for gas to be put straight in to the supply line, no flaring required.

Best update so far!

We will be producing gas from Dempsey and it is sweet, dry gas, according to Gary Jeffery in the boardroom interview above. He sounds extremely confident and very excited for the future of SGC.

Anyone in any doubt about the potential here should IMHO listen to this interview.

You are spot on - thats why these flow test results are so significant. If Dempsey is successful then by read across, it is also likely the other Dempsey AMI targets will also be successful. In that case, it could easily allow EME to self fund the China drilling, Tom stated as much at the AGM.

mark,

Sorry I meant that I would offload part of my holding, I had 2 initial targets 22p where I only sold 20K and 30p but I was on holiday in Portugal and missed it, I had intended to sell a 100k then and if it gets there again I will sell them.

I have just short of 900k and kids 20K so I would keep the main holding 800K for greater levels as discussed such as the Dempsey on trend, Alvaras,Indonesia and China the jewel in my view so I anticipate being here for a while although as you get older I would like to spend some of it.

Stewart, if Dempsey comes in then for me that's not the time to sell. It would immediately significantly de-risk 3 analogues and I would also think it de-risks, to a lesser extent, Alvares. The upsurge in share price on a positive Dempsey announcement will only be the start of a re-rating; I reckon it would go on for months and all that time China news and Duyung news would be getting closer.

I certainly believe in EME but have never been a "put all your eggs in one basket" person. My risk reward is that in the event that there is no commercial flow, then I think the share price will ultimately recover to around 16p - but initially it could be much worse. Conversely, if it is good news, you could see a JOG like reaction (today up +250%+ in a day). I have a reasonably low average and don't trade, but look for entry points that offer as little risk as possible, even though this is the AIM market and Oil and Gas and so inherently high risk. EME is very likely to be onto a game changing discovery, but I still feel inclined to keep my fairly safe low risk ISAs etc - if you get my drift.

I should have qualified... I agree. I don't think we will get one now, but if Dempsey is announced and flowing in the next few weeks I can see one happening this side of Christmas.

Thanks chaps. I think there's a strong possibility, but as OF says, I would hope this time there were some clear targets for the cash.

KevJames,

I respect your posts and knowledge about eme but rather puzzled at your comment about being a buyer at 16p, my view is if your a buyer anywhere between 16p amd 20p at say a 100k then you are looking for this to rise substantially to 30p or 40p plus if Dempsey comes in.

You either believe it will or not if you don't then I would be out now if your in and it comes in great but be assured if it doesn't this will get hammered and far more than 16p regardless whether it is supported by China and Indonesia.

I am in for the long haul have been for 10 bloody years, its my pension or I hope it is, I have my exit price and it may change if all goes to plan but if Dempsey comes in then I and many others will sell into a large rise and leave some for the next person.

I'd disagree. I believe and hope there will be a placing.

I certainly don't want to be sat around here for months waiting for some revenue to build up before the company can be taken forwards.

Without a placing this won't move forwards at the pace directors and share holders want.

So I'd see a placing as a big positive, provided it's done well and for the right reasons.

I'd also disagree with the assumption of delays. Many are simply getting ahead of themselves and being somewhat over enthusiastic on timescales. Amazing really, unless of course you are a trader looking for a quick exit.

Kev,
Your timeline seems about right. I don´t know why XST posted the update 5 days late but it is issued as ASX releases by both SGC & PCL so we can assume that the activities schedule is correct.
