17/6/2016 10:58 | Cheers Dacian. I'd have dug them out, but that's your choice. :-} Buffy | buffythebuffoon
17/6/2016 07:36 | It has dominant position. They have work to improve connectivity to local secondary care. Most secondary care are moving into EPR and smooth integration will improve workflow. Uptake of their system and less chances of going to new vendor. | neurolodger
17/6/2016 07:02 | A quick browse shows EMIS has 55% of GP practices against 34% for Systm Online | glaws2
16/6/2016 10:05 | Momentum lost now. Price below 20d,50d and 200d SMA. dyor | aishah
16/6/2016 10:04 | In my CCG has a complete monopoly in primary care , I realise it is not the same everywhere .I have used it for 25 yrs along with many others and very few users would want to change not just because it is a good system , but a system change is disruptive , bad enough changing the Emis versions. Meanwhile I see the share price has tempted me to add more this morning. I see no relevance to Brexit here. | wad collector
16/6/2016 09:55 | Beat me to it, Glaws2. Many GP surgeries use Systm Online. EMIS has greater strength in community-based health care providers where their recent contracts have concentrated. | grahamburn
16/6/2016 09:32 | Is that true - my GP practice uses "Systm Online" ? | glaws2
16/6/2016 08:23 | I agree with wadc they almost have monopoly in primary care GP services | neurolodger
15/6/2016 23:13 | I finally bought at 940 this morning ; I spend half my life enslaved to EMIS , who have a monopoly in our county , can't see us changing suppliers unless something drastic happens , so think it is a safe long term bet. I can't see a dramatic rise in the share price in future unless there is a takeover bid , but happy to hold in the pension fund. | wad collector
12/6/2016 21:06 | How could I resist? apad | apad
12/6/2016 19:02 | No shorts at the moment, I believe. Thinking of buying a first holding. Seems to be an understandable company with a sound story. apad | apad
12/6/2016 14:48 | Blackrock shorted this one in Feb, apparently. It doesn't bother me as a long term investor, because EMIS will carry on growing regardless. | ben12358
12/6/2016 11:55 | This does bounce around, so it's possible to make money shorting it in a narrow range, but with the spread I'd be surprised if professionals were shorting this. Buffy | buffythebuffoon
11/6/2016 13:21 | Good for him. I think a hedge fund tried shorting this one a couple of months ago but it didn't turn out well for them... | ben12358
11/6/2016 08:22 | "I've shorted Emis which looks near the top of any sensible valuation after a good run targeting a run back down to the 960-70 area." | waterloo01
10/6/2016 14:08 | I would view the lack of e-prescribing in secondary care as a potential benefit to the share price ; there is a big unfilled gap , and it is inevitable that it will be filled. Barely legible hand written prescriptions are a 20th century model ; eventually it must be updated. ( Mind you I thought that 30 yrs ago!) Whether EMIS fills the gap is another Q. I have no position here , quietly waiting for further (irrational in my view) weakness. | wad collector
10/6/2016 12:53 | Suspect this is behind the weakness along with Brexit risks. | waterloo01
13/5/2016 08:09 | Interesting open today, up 42 | cyman
11/5/2016 22:31 | Back up above 1000 hopefully continues | cyman
27/4/2016 15:26 | Waterloo, The rating is the rating; the share price is the share price Hey, you want deep! I can do deep. Well, deeper... Focus on the business. The rest takes care of itself, unless you are stupid enough to use too much leverage. Buffy | buffythebuffoon
26/4/2016 08:15 | Bought a few more. Despite it's high rating, it continues to perform. | waterloo01
26/4/2016 07:26 | Decent agm statement with a number of contract wins just in the last 5 weeks (since results). | ihatemms |
