12/7/2016 14:17 | Is embedded in NHS and saves them money as records do not have to be duplicated. | weemonkey
01/7/2016 08:33 | I do not see this business doing anything less than business as usual (which has consistantly been good) And if some of these fabled money diverted from the EU does reach the NHS then Brexit could even be a tonic here. | weemonkey
27/6/2016 13:34 | Added at 818. I think the market has got very silly today and am happy to profit from it . Sold a big holding of UU. at small profit to fund bargain hunting elsewhere. | wad collector
24/6/2016 07:14 | eality Check: Would Brexit mean extra £350m a week for NHS? By Anthony Reuben BBC Reality Check 15 April 2016 From the section EU Referendum On Friday's Today Programme, on BBC Radio 4, Gisela Stuart, co-chair of Vote Leave, said: "Every week we send £350m to Brussels. "I'd rather that we control how to spend that money, and if I had that control I would spend it on the NHS." | dlku
22/6/2016 14:50 | Don't know about that . . Illness never goes out of fashion and this stock is a never ending repeat prescription. . | undervaluedassets

21/6/2016 12:38 | Fall looks very technical having dropped through support. As there is nothing new from the company and results and news from EMIS have been good I am not sure that some investors are just simply frightened of their own shadows. As has been pointed out would look to be immune to Brexit concerns too. Would not be surprised by sudden snapback rally here as this looks to be just noise (IMHO) . A little top up at this level could be sensible | weemonkey
21/6/2016 09:50 | Certainly hard to see much relevance to Brexit here . Not a lot of FOREX issues ! | wad collector
20/6/2016 12:09 | I agree with this. The KNOS board is not a nice place. TSTL also commented that this is the worst they have experienced on selling to the NHS. I have two shares that I am expecting to decline gently so that I can build up a stake out of income. FWIW they are EMIS and BVXP. I don't expect either to have a good 2016 but they are both interesting/quality companies. I know BVXP better than EMIS. apad | apad
19/6/2016 11:55 | I wouldn't make too much of the surgery mergers thing. GP practices need to be local. Sure there are some high density areas, but numerically I doubt it would be a disaster for EMIS. We have quite a few contracts to be announced, and lots to go for. We are well embedded in the practices that have signed up, and the repeat business is substantial. Buffy | buffythebuffoon
19/6/2016 11:40 | In regards to pharmacies after contract with Lloyds there is not much left to take. Boots will implement Columbus.Rowlands and Day Lewis already on emis. Clearly no more big contracts in pharmacy sector any more. With surgery mergers we are left with opportunities in primary care but with much greater competition. | hanzoo
19/6/2016 10:23 | It won't be lack of grey matter Dacian. Anyway, an honest, humble, decent personality ranks way higher in desirable attributes. As for EMIS, EMISWeb is sold on a per practice basis, and they pay £13,000 per annum, so if the trend of super practices does take off (and I have my doubts whether sick patients will be happy to get a bus or train to see their GP) then there will be fewer '£13,000's' in the coffers. Of course we could just up the price for the new richer practices. Of the 9483 practices in the UK, we sell to 5121of them, and we're going for more. We can also sell to Hospitals and Pharmacies, so it's a big market out there. Our other acquisitions give us other strings to our bow. There's a lot more to come. Buffy | buffythebuffoon
18/6/2016 11:32 | Funnily enough Dacian, when I tried to teach my Sicilian nephews some English, I explained that when you wanted to change a verb to the past tense, you would more often than not add 'ed'. So I guess they would have said 'digged' as well! Buffy | buffythebuffoon
17/6/2016 11:29 | If practices are consolidated into larger practices the revenue per practice would go up to compensate. | ihatemms
17/6/2016 11:08 | hxxp://www.pulsetoda GP practices numbers could be cut considerably in near future thus affecting Emis revenues. | hanzoo |
