25/1/2016 12:33 | Redchef..... So what is your view on EMIS? | johnv
25/1/2016 12:14 | I'm an IT Test Manager and worked for a hospital on my previous contract. All the systems are cobbled together using low tech interfaces and highly inefficient makeshift data warehouse facilities. There are a few big players but none are highly regarded. One of the problems is that clinical staff are managing IT projects and don't know what they are doing. Most projects are run like an A&E dept. Reactive with no planning. Anyone who gets it right stands out from the crowd | redchef
25/1/2016 09:22 | My GP hasn't even got an I.T. link to local hospital for referring cases | lancasterbomber
24/1/2016 16:15 | Connectivity of NHS IT systems and legacy systems is a real nightmare and also between primary and secondary care. But increasingly there are local gateway/ portal providers who are stepping onto the scene to allow systems to talk to eachother. This is being pushed by the CCGs who have a lot riding on being able to manage the overall service in an area. TPP SystmOne is another big IT player but think they are still private and not a listed company ? | multibagger
24/1/2016 13:33 | How much was their minority stake in pharmacy2u worth before the writedown? | mw8156
24/1/2016 13:20 | This company is developing into a monopoly in primary healthcare (55%) and becoming the dominant force in pharmacy IT - share to increase into 50%. It's also increasing share in CCMH . This really places in a a unique space as it readily admits. It's the only company that can perform the connectivity of the health service - something the NHS is very keen on. This will mean an ever increasing edge in acquiring new contracts within the sector as competitors must connect to EMIS systems or they dont get the contract- much easier to just give the contract to EMIS in the first place and the company does appear to have an excellent relationship with the Health minister. It's not difficult to see why scsw like the company-as its market shares continue to grow the more influence it can exert within the sector . | ihatemms
22/1/2016 15:23 | Investor Chronic plays that game, ramps them up and when they tank they are swept under the carpet and never of heard again!! | reddave999
22/1/2016 13:57 | I smell ramping... | wad collector
21/1/2016 22:04 | All Sainsburys pharmacies sold to Lloyds now ,not much left then. | hanzoo
21/1/2016 21:42 | It's tackling the supermarket pharmacies next- still huge amount to play for. | ihatemms
21/1/2016 21:28 | Government wants to close around 20 % of pharmacies mostly low volume ones. if Emis profit relays on retail sector that might have some impact. | hanzoo
21/1/2016 21:15 | Agreed. 13% revenue growth with delayed spending and forward visibility. Slow burn but dependable. | waterloo01
21/1/2016 21:07 | Opodio - great post 233 What a ridiculous reaction to a great trading statement. Huge contract signed with AAH pharmacy in Dec 15. Hence huge benefit in 2016 and 2017- increasing market share from 36% to 50%. Almost 40% increase in revenue for the pharmacy division alone. CCMH market share increasing from 10% to12%. All the main profits are made in the primary and pharmacy divisions. Huge buying opportunity- that is how SCSW with will see it! | ihatemms
21/1/2016 20:06 | Nw99 - 600p? You are a clown | bpc10
21/1/2016 20:01 | Looking at the chart would be a good buy at 600 | nw99
21/1/2016 19:48 | Now when Lloyds bought Proscript,Day Lewis and Rowlands using it for ages there will be no way to expand in community pharmacy sector any more. Best most user frendly system I've ever used. | hanzoo
21/1/2016 19:43 | Good entry point at this level given this wasn't actually a profit warning. It has being a bad week for my UK IT holdings but there is an element of markdown to reflect whats happening on NASDAQ and I think not a good time to draw attention to yourself I would said fully valued beforehand given the scale of opportunity they have in the NHS sector and dominant position they have in the primary care market. More work to do in the Acute sector however. | gopher

21/1/2016 19:03 | I use EMIS too and wouldn't want to use any other system ; tried several others. But I still have not bought in ; still think overvalued unless viewed as R&D. | wad collector
21/1/2016 17:37 | I use EMIS and there quite a lot not to like! | baxter99
21/1/2016 16:32 | Can't see what's not to like about EMIS, and the first genuine share price setback in the 2 years that I've held, which takes its value back to last August. TBF the share price was getting overvalued, and with current market sentiment any share in a narrow market which slightly disappoints is likely to get hammered, as EMIS now has. Will add once the dust settles as the company still seems to be going great guns. | bend1pa
21/1/2016 16:26 | Happy to pick up a few more..... | lomax99
21/1/2016 15:59 | Its the biggest tree shake attempt I have come accross, watch it go back up when they they switch the rascals. Peel Hunt note: Trading overall in line – likely to be slightly ahead of PH forecasts at >£36m PBT, although slightly lower on revenues owing to delays closing a number of deals in the Secondary division. We leave our 2016 PBT forecast unchanged. Strong performance in GP, CCMH and Community Pharmacy. EMIS continued to gain share in all three markets. GP market share rose to 55% (54% at the interim) and CCMH to 12% (10%). In Community Pharmacy, EMIS has won a contract extension with AAH to cover its Lloyds Pharmacy estate of 1800 outlets. Over the next 18m this should drive EMIS’s market share from 35% to 50% | opodio
21/1/2016 15:26 | Surely, this is massively oversold...But in the current market conditions it's too risky to buy back in now imho | spong_1 |
