Last night was their once in a lifetime opportunity, which they blew. They won't have such a kind draw and home advantage, like they enjoyed in this tournament, anytime soon. Would give them very little chance of winning the World Cup, they don't have the mentality required. The Euros is basically the World Cup, without Brazil and Argentina. The other countries add colour but none are potential winners.

People are under the deluded belief that England have a good chance of winning the world cup .. Totally ignoring the fact that the euro's are only a quarter of world football .. The world cup..as the names suggest , there are many more teams, teams that have the desire to win matches and cups, and they don't have the sandstone round their necks where they have to have 'diversity' impregnated into their make-up to please and satisfy the WOKE, mass immigration , multi-cultural briggade!

The Italians are good but were outplayed by Spain. They had slow Central defenders and Southgate left pace on the bench. I prefer to lose going for it rather than going out on penalties. They pressed high and southgate sat back. Handed them the initiative. It was a negative display and that kind of display can only be justified by winning.

Great for 5 minutes then not a shot for 2 hours. they didnt have to play any quality on the way to the final apart from an ageing German team that should all be in a home by now so when quality turned up truth came out

Couldn't quite understand why he didn't bring Sancho at a minimum and maybe Rashford on after full time, when both their decrepit centre halves were both on a yellow, were knackered and vulnerable to a fresh quick skilful attacker - or two/three.

Crying out for it - but too cautious. Should have gone and taken it, not waited and hoped.

For me, last night highlighted what few leaders on the pitch England have at their disposal. Other than Kane, Maguire and Henderson there are no others. Henderson obviously doesn't take penalties! Why didn't Sterling or Shaw take a penalty last night? Seems odd. Lack of bottle or just not that good at taking them in training?

The choices of who would,in the event of a penalty shoot out, would have been made prior to the match, and would have come down from the football hierarchy , that the majority of the penalty takers should be from the minority players, that's why there was a rush to get them on before the end of extra time, so that in the event that they scored they would have been national 'hero's'... There will of course still be the 'sympathy' side to exploit..

I don't blame the black lads entirely, they were put under the immense pressure by those who push the 'diverity' angle for all its worth, and who aren't to concerned who gets trampled underfoot in their quest to look the most WOKE!!

Glad england team lost after taking the knee. Hate this antiwhite rascism. They're trying to make us feel guilty for being white in our own country. Won't be able to call it our country next that'll be too white too. lol

Tactically the Italians played a better chess game. Taking off Rice and putting on Henderson was an error, which ended up affecting morale, badly. IMO.

Nobody remembers losers. Still in a week or two, the England players will have forgotten all about this because they're compensated by a lifestyle which most of the population can only dream about. I wouldn't worry about them to much ! LOL.

Question is did England reach the finall because of Southgate or in spite of him? I think the latter. He talks eloquently but is poor mans Mourinho

Rashford should get an MBE because he is black.

Jack jebb... my point proved . You are either in denial, or work in the diversity industry..

It's normal these days, to discriminate against the white population , you get it in every walk of life.. The BBC advertise for anyone from the BAME groups but blatantly discriminate against the white race, same in the police and other organisations.. And even in football..

Morning all,

I'm absolutely gutted I don't mind saying. I honestly don't believe I'll see England win a major trophy in my lifetime. They threw it away last night. The second-half tactics were all wrong and as is so often the case the second goal would have been critical and decisive; but they wouldn't go for it and I don't know why? You are only there once.

Southgate was weighed in the balances and found wanting again, just as he was against Croatia three years ago in the World Cup. He let the game drift and the Italians seized their chance. Substitutions were needed way before they happened, anyone could see that.

All very frustrating

Don't ever let the memory of 66 fadeEngland weren't good enough spend too long celebrating failure in this country. No European team will win in Qatar. Clearly favours the South American's hence Brazil being strong favourites.
