The Italians are known for their solid defending and speed and efficiency on the counter attack. I know that, you know that, Sir Gareth and the boys know that.

With Usain Walker hanging back, they dont have a player quicker than him, so we should be able to attack with numbers. If we are fortunate enough to score early, we can demolish them. If its very tight and cagey, which is the most likely scenario, anything can happen.

I just hope we perform at our best. If we do, we will win.

It wasnt a dive. He felt marginal contact and momentum took him down. But it was certainly 50/50.

we can be very proud today, reaching the final is a massive achievement, and although it wasn't a great match last night and very stressful for most supporters, we made it and now look forward to a different challenge in the form of Italy, who are very slippery opponents. they will use all the gamesmanship in the book, as well as being a very good team..

PS i hope they catch the stupid bell end that was trying to shine a laser pen in Kasper Schmeichels face...

You have to give Southgate a lot of credit for what he has overseen since he became England manager. His man management is superb. Did you notice the first guy he hugged after the Ukraine win? It was Grealish, who hadnt kicked a ball in the game. You can see the players like and respect him, and play for him, which certainly wasnt the case with all our previous foreign managers.

We have nothing to fear against Denmark, and hopefully the final. This team can beat anyone. At our best, at Wembley, we will win the tournament.

No team is a pushover in a semi.

What impressed me most yesterday was how England started. That was key imo. We start that way on Wednesday, and we will win comfortably again. If we start slowly and nervously, it will be a nail biting night.

Joe, yes I can. If we beat Ukraine, we have two home games, we are difficult to beat, and playing in front of a crowd at a packed Wembley is a huge advantage.

Italy havnt played anyone decent, and Belgium are a good team, but we should not fear them.

Too many people are getting carried away and that assumes we beat Ukraine/Czech republic

Ukraine on a neutral ground, then Czech or Denmark at home, hopefully, then the final.
This is our best chance of winning our second tournament, which is mind blowing in itself. We've only got one cup!

Should we reach the final, whoever we play will be the best we've faced in the competition, but a full Wembley will be worth an extra man, and we're pretty good there usually.

Yes Jack great result, thought Germans looked poor to be honest. The miss by Muller was when I pinched myself as I thought I was dreaming..don't think we can underestimate the Ukraine, especially in 32deg heat in Rome! But fair play, this is the best chance to win it !
