You are not doing or being asked to do anything political. It is the England team's view and they are expressing it. They are not asking you to support anything.I was asking you to support freedom of speech.

Because having to 'prove' your support for a political viewpoint (and yes it is political, driven mainly from the Left) eg by clapping rather than booing, is the start of a very slippery slope.

We express our political views generally privately, in the sanctity of the polling booth, not by having to be forced by emotional blackmail into supporting a political gesture in a stadium full of thousands.

Nonsense - it is not like clapping the NHS. No one is forcing anyone else to take the knee. The team haven't asked people to applaud or boo - it is their gesture so just let them do it. It is their will yet people want to change the view of others. What happened to freedom of speech? Some people are only for freedom of speech when they agree with it. Everyone support's freedom of speach for the journalists re charlie hebdo so why not support it here?

Re: the pen the ref gave it and var agreed so it was a pen. Soft? Yes a bit but still a pen. Other teams have dived, used tactical fouling etc for too long. The Italian's will most likely use various dark arts to try to win. In order to win stuff you have to do whatever it takes as long as it's within the rules. Does anyone think a Denmark player wouldn't have made the most of a challenge in the box? There was contact and he made the most of it. It happens all the time and there is no way to know that the contact wasn't enough to bring him down.

depends on the research joe. in the us police kill more whites then blacks. police killing a black person gets in the news everytime. killing a white, not really.

all- post a link to somewhere that shows taking the knee is from somewhere else. you said it not me.
