11/7/2021 20:34 | Phillips will need to be subbed or he is a red card walking. Trippier not far away from a red either. | stephen1946
11/7/2021 19:12 | Mancini is a winner. Southgate is a Bottler. | stephen1946
11/7/2021 12:11 | Queues outside Wetherspoons Bristol at 10:45 am: God knows what state they will be in at kick-off! | bittorrent
11/7/2021 07:11 | Come on England win it with style none of this touch me and i slump to the ground. | hasin
11/7/2021 02:41 | Brazil vs Argentina is like watching the national diving and cheating tournament. | jack jebb
11/7/2021 01:22 | The Italian defence are pretty old, in football terms, and the players they have play for clubs that are usually attacking, so they are just not used to sustained attacks from young, hungry players. Whilst they are no doubt a very good team, England are better on their day, and I am very confident that today is our day. An early goal for us could open the floodgates, as the Italians tire. | jack jebb
09/7/2021 14:41 | Yeah, his tackle on VVD was a shocker. But thats the thing, in a months time, I'll go back to hating Harry Kane, booing Mason Mount and Raheem Sterling etc. I agree about other nations, but thats the key. England are on the up, as the premier league is so good now. Any Englishman that plays for a top 8 club are very good players. Its amazing to see the oles when England keep possession for minutes on end. It never happened before. The U17 won the world cup (or was it the euros?). Our future looks very good for the national team. | jack jebb
09/7/2021 14:34 | To be fair the quality in the other teams is perhaps less? Spain are certainly not as good as they were. France were a bit lethargic. Germany past their best for now? Even Croatia has an ageing team so although England have done well the competition is perhaps not as good as it has been. Having said that you can only beat what is put in front of you.I think England are technically better than they have ever been. Ok no real superstars however they are all much more comfortable on the ball than they have ever been. Most teams in the prem play a passing game now and it certainly helps imho | allstar4eva
09/7/2021 14:29 | Lol jack yes pickford took vvd out with a rash challenge so not best pleased with him. But that's the point he is rash. His kicking is terrible. At times he kicks when he should pass the ball a few yards however as I said he is a very good shot stopper. Perhaps the best in the prem after De gea. Alisson is not a great shot stopper but he gets his angles spot on. I do feel there is always a mistake in him and I hope it doesn't come on Sunday.Sterling has been the best player and seems well up for it. The italians won't be looking forward to him running at them. Mount has been disappointing. Perhaps grealish lacks the discipline to play there though. | allstar4eva
09/7/2021 13:43 | Stones is the weakest link in the England defence.it may prove to be their downfall if he plays.Mings is a better choice imo. | sr2day
09/7/2021 13:37 | yes but the expectation on the squad is magnitudes lower then previous squads that had more superstars. the more superstars the more likely they will fail. | mcbeanburger
09/7/2021 13:32 | Allstar is a Liverpool fan, and they dont like the blue half. This is actually why this England team is doing so well. There doesnt seem to be any of the inter club rivalry that has cursed the national team in the last few decades. It was revealing listening to the very eloquent Gary Neville the other night. He said he loved playing for England but adored his club. He thinks the current squad adore playing for England and love their clubs. Its a subtle difference and probably not strictly true, in that I dont think his generation, the so called golden generation, loved or adored playing for England. They were too old and mercenary. Most of the current team are young, and havnt been tainted yet by the cynicism that Neville's peers had. | jack jebb
09/7/2021 13:30 | and i'm sure we all can agree that saka should start over other players i could mention! and should get a goal as its about time. not to mention smith-rowe for the squad next year. i mean no debate there. | mcbeanburger
09/7/2021 13:23 | Agree. To be fair, his record of only conceding that one goal so far in the tournament is pretty admirable and he's done some cracking good saves. | bluemango
09/7/2021 13:20 | Difficult to criticise Pickford. Our defence, of which he's an integral part, have been pretty good for quite a while, and the Danish goal was technically illegal, given what the Danish did to our wall. Not only that, but unlike any other goalkeeper I've ever seen, he seems equally adept at kicking the ball clear with left or right foot, and has made a handful of crucial saves. | jack jebb
09/7/2021 13:14 | Pickford has been awful with his kicking and he was at fault for the goal the other night too. However he is a very good shot stopper. Hope that's enough... | allstar4eva
09/7/2021 10:35 | Who hasn't been? | thailand
09/7/2021 10:00 | He also got bitten by Suarez! | jack jebb
09/7/2021 09:56 | you're right. He lost the 2012 final vs Spain | jack jebb
09/7/2021 09:55 | Jack, pretty sure Chiellini must've been involved in some high level games, he's been around for ever! | brad44
09/7/2021 09:41 | I suspect those that are vocal against the 10 second knee, are the same bozos who boo the opponents national anthems, which is a disgrace and embarrassment to our country. Anyway, re:the game. None of the players on the pitch will have played a game of this magnitude, so a nervous mistake from any of the players is a likely scenario. In the absence of an early goal, I expect a cagey affair, with a good chance of 0-0 and penalties. An early goal, by either team, could lead to a classic. I foresee our usual score in a major final at Wembley. 4-2. | jack jebb
09/7/2021 09:39 | Let the England football team do whatever they want. Don't need to appluad or boo. Just let them be... | allstar4eva |
