Then please DM me with it. Surely, if it's significant but cannot be in the public domain, nor readily inferred and identified by those on this board, then it's not material to the investment case. I'm certainly not buying in on the basis of 'secret knowledge' and I doubt many other will either!
But wdik - just sayin'!

Brucie,
I'm assuming SS does not want this in the public domain .. it's an observation I make based on my own research and assumptions. I will not be disclosing it other than to refer to it as Whale2.

Brucie,
I'm happy with the Insecticide narrative as it maybe related to Whale2 etal as well as Corteva so I can't agree with your 'set aside' observation.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Super, I have no idea what the 'whale' is that you refer to, let alone the Whale 2.0. Can you spell this out please - I'm sure others would be grateful too!

On the 'set aside ' point I do have a question about the unexplained Molluscicide disappearance from the Pipeline back in 2021. It seemed to go missing precisely when Eden started forecasting the Corteva 2024 planting season ..seed treatment.

Thanks, super, that's a good post. Of course I agree that the link up with Corteva is potentially company making and in the meantime absolutely crucial.
Hitherto, absent any significant build in sales via MEV & CED, I was expecting great things by now from their insecticide, but this seems to have been set aside, if not in the 'long grass', then at least some distance from the fairway of actual products and profits, no?

BRUCIE,
Caution and cynicism has historically been a wise way to approach investing in EDEN. The TT back to school is a case study in cautionary lessons.
However..I believe we're in a very different phase of Eden's evolution now and it's Ecovelex Corteva not TT who are driving this..the contrast between the two is vast.

Yesterdays post by Igor Teslenko President EMEA at Corteva indicates to me whether money is coming sooner in preparation for the 2024 growing season or in 18-24 months time. It's a gamble, it always has been but my biased dots, and there are many, point to the 2024 season which means under some sort of 'emergency' provision similar to what we have seen in Italy, Pioneer prepare Ecovelex this summer ready for farmers orders from December onwards for spring planting. This way I imagine Eden get paid this year and a cash call is avoided.

I'd also not be surprised by a Corteva strategic investment Sipcam style but that would only enhance the 2023 money position despite any dilution. AWGATWT.
.............................................................

'Recent regulatory changes in the EU have left farmers without conventional approaches to combating crop damage caused by birds. Corteva Agriscience, together with Eden Research plc, have responded with agility and speed to fill this gap left in the market with a sustainable alternative.

Together we have developed Ecovelex™, a seed treatment based on plant-derived chemistry that is a safe deterrent for birds.

This plant-derived innovation is offputting to birds due to its unpleasant taste and smell, leaving the bird unharmed, along with farmers' crops.

I am delighted to see the efforts of our open collaboration approach come to fruition with the rapid development of this solution completed over three years.

The journey from R&D laboratories to farms across Europe continues, as Eden has applied for its authorization in Europe with Corteva as its distribution partner.'

Brucie,
Smith had the opportunity on the last Proactive video to comment on the previously mentioned '2024 growing season' estimation ...first stated 12/5/21.

He chose not to.

Why do you think that was?
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Super, at this stage I think I need everything spelled out to me - the only thing I use to infer from is the signal lack of sales! Do you remember the 'Back to School' imminence of the flea treatment? When was that..?

Sorry if I sound cynical; but's not that I'm not attentive, though it may be that I'm not attentive enough.

I'm certainly watching.

I refer you back to attyg's detailed post. Also, commentary he made about going concern.

Separately, early enthusiasm, yes, but now we are in my opinion, in a very good place. Each must decide for themselves

Brucie, dearie, you have such a LOVELY way of writing -
"Ferk orf you filthy pond-dwelling lying ramper"
without using those words!

Also, the heartiest congratulations for not reminding these paid P.R. weasels that, the superb share price opportunity and all that, the c--ts on the Board, supposedly those in the best position to assess prospects, are STILL NOT BUYING.

No - how many years has it been now since any significant purchase?

Hahaha! ;-)

Investing - the question is not just about "What could be if.."
It is now about the cash runway to real sales sufficient to make a profit.
Even you must admit your optimism, of five/ten years ago has not been anywhere near vindicated. Investors who participated in the last huge funding round are now looking at further dilution, which I doubt very much they anticipated.

I am not discounting the technology and its importance, merely questioning a business that has failed to make financial headway despite years of assurances and cash raises. But as you say, perhaps that's in the price.

The recent Cenkos report which is on Eden's website, reminds us that this Corteva deal for seeds could deliver Eden in excess of €40 million p.a. Assuming a net €20 million when that day comes, Eden burns short of £3 million per annum. Converted today, that's about £14 million profit. On a P/E ratio of 20 that's 74p, £1.11 on 30* earnings assuming the same circa 380 million shares in issue.

That is without a Mevalone contribution, Cedroz contribution, any other commercial arrangements that are in the pipeline with Corteva, without the insecticide with forecast income in the US for 2024/25 and this is just the stuff we know about.

attyg is right in my opinion to be very confident about Eden's future
