Regarding the comments on funding, that came up when I stated that my preferrence was to invest directly in the company rather than buy second hand shares in the market (my Eden shares were purchased in the last placing at 6p - they came with EIS tax reliefs so net price paid per share after tax relief was 4.2p), they said there was no current plans, and the current funding environment was dire (although probably improving slowly), but it might be worth considering if the funding environment were to significantly improve and they were to enter into new markets. If and when they do raise funds again, the raise would almost certainly qualify (again) for EIS/VCT tax reliefs as they are classed as knowledge intensive which gives them an enhanced £20m limit for funds raised under EIS/VCT. The Gresham (Baronsmead) VCTs were cornerstone investors at the last raise and they continued to be supportive towards the company.

No cash required is good news and seems logical. If they can communicate that to the wider market, that would be very helpful for everyone to understand.

In regards to the regulators, anyone in Eden's field who doesn't have approvals where Eden does, surely provides a competitive advantage to Eden based on R and D time, cost to develop products, time to market and if the product is successful. Personally, I think Eden has significant, as yet, unrealised (in the SP) value here as they are clearly years ahead of some others and both crop protection and regulators are not prepared to wait so long for positive change to happen. This can only be good news for Eden and its investors.

Unfortunately not, as their presentation coincided with my time manning the ShareSoc stand 🙁.

A couple of other things I did pick up on was that they do not intend to raise funds at the current time (sorry to disappoint you there NeutralPOV) and that their main frustration in progressing the business was the length of time that regulators in various juridictions were taking to approve applications - the regulatory process slowed down during the pandemic (public servants opting to work from home) and it hasn't really recovered since then (public servants now shirking from home)

Eden were at the master investor meeting today, I got the chance to talk to the ceo and cfo at their stand. I think we will probably see an RNS òn Monday (before the market opens) concerning a regulatory approval 😀
