Ok. Well, good luck with that. I wouldn't be investing here again personally until I saw that happen. Smaller AIMers never, of course, let on that they need money until it happens. I have seen the story for years and if they pull it off, of course, the world in theory, would be their oyster!

Quite possibly Brucie and you know my guess but also noted in the recent company report was the statement below .. so an upfront payment from that mystery company may bridge the gap. My guess is Elanco which may have been related to the 'dog' comment from Smith in the recent Investor day video.

Continued good news on regs but I believe that 2022 results showed revenue at £1.8m with pre-tax loss of £2.6m and cash down to £2m.
Seems obvious that they will need a cash raise, surely?

Given that this is not my first rodeo I'm guessing (as always) that this is a market subduing tactic in preparation for a Corteva or other whale strategic investment. I don't expect Smith and Co to change their spots so when they make uncharacteristic commentary my attention is guaranteed.

And that damning report on massive over-compensation for zero, no, NEGATIVE delivery is dated nearly 3 years ago. Since back then there's been further accumulation of losses and far more snouted from the trough by the greedy blighter.

Yes,
Trials for seed treatment (coatings) which is due for commercialization for 2024 growing season and then I think he's referring to SustainE 'within' Pioneer seeds.

Interesting Sam Eathington commentary @1hr29m in the Corteva Innovation Web cast in referring to EU approvals sounds very confident in Corteva's 'regulatory capacity to get things approved around the world is quite beneficial there'. Also Eden have Mike Carroll on hand as our trusty Corteva link man to provide network benefits.


Also Smith's reference @6.17 to the 80 plus field trials for the insecticide treatment which could again be Corteva @Pioneer or Whale2.

If it is Corteva then I'm even more inclined to think we'll see some sort of strategic partnership announcement. The Corteva French commentary regarding the 10x of addressable market that Smith refers to in the investor presentation event is making Corteva a very important partner and they may just want a bit of the ££benefit from the scale they bring to the party in what Sam Eathington calls 'unique value sharing collaborations'.

“Our R&D program is also delivering innovation by moving faster on new opportunities such as biologicals to help farmers meet changing food production demands and the potential for double cropping systems that provide another cash crop option for farmers,” said Sam Eathington, Chief Technology and Digital Officer, Corteva Agriscience. “We are using the combination of acquisitions, unique value sharing collaborations, external innovation, and internal R&D capabilities to provide better solutions to farmers as they address new challenges to their operations now and in the future.”



Of course with Whale2 onboard as well Eden may have enough leverage to be considered 'external innovation' to them both. What anyone who is paying attention is certainly seeing is a step change in Eden's growth prospects and the PR noise that goes along with that.

On one slide re biopesticides market, value $11 billion globally, sean said that 80-85% of global R and D was being spent in this area.

Sean also said that although research is in our name, we are a development company. Quite right! We are now developing multiple products from the same 3 natural active ingredients.

That was an excellent presentation for investors to absorb.
