I have a question

What is the value yield loss as a result of birds eating seeds?

Surely, farmers buying this seed treatment is somewhat of a no brainer as the retained or increased yield will easily exceed the value cost of Ecovelex.

I expect this to race forward in sales as previously indicated by Eden

One aspect of today's RNS is that - if the market for seeds that are not eaten by birds is large, then there is surely not a lot to stop Eden and Corteva replicating this feature in seeds for all manner of crops - before for Pioneer and third parties.

The market for Eden could be huge.

One detail I hope Smith clarifies is if this is the same product he has been touting for a 2024 growing season because the review and authorisation of 18-24 months suggests otherwise or perhaps this is the 'revision' that is mentioned?


From the Corteva RNS dated 11 May 2021:

"Eden and Corteva will continue to collaborate to further develop and optimise Eden's seed treatment product. The companies are committed to working together to register the final product candidate with the aim of initially launching the Product in the European Union, the UK and Serbia in time for the 2024 growing season, although both companies acknowledge that this is an estimate and is open to revision, dependent on development and product registration."

Review and authorisation 18-24 months, Eden had a years cash at end December 22. They can't last that long without a cap raise. Who is holding their hand on this, Corteva, who despite holding distribution rights all over the world still cannot manage to generate significant sales for Eden. Why not?
