30/11/2007 21:28 | divinausa1 - It is so obvious you have read some Warren Buffett and think that like him you will be proved right in the long run (why obvious - well you talk of longterm investing, ignorning the stock price etc). However this way of thinking has a number of problems: - Buffett goes for sotcks which have profits and a good track record and are large. The idea Buffett would go for a AIM promotion story is laughable. Thus Buffett has a margin of saftey. I'm sorry but the stock price isn't "wrong". Slap | slapdash

30/11/2007 11:48 | MF Global UK seems to have been buying these shares - declaring a holding of 6,643,000 (3.02%) - previously either did not hold or had a holding below 3%. | silverthread
24/11/2007 11:31 | tyranosaurus Companies 99 x out of a 100 trade at a big discount to their true value. The last few weeks saw some panick in the markets. PIs selling maybe even institutions. If some one had to make an offer for EBT then i can assure you it will be much much higher than todays share price When all are selling(although trades here are very low) then im a buyer. I will wait to see though if i can get in lower. Do some research on the chinese mobile phone market and EBTs role in it. I have done mine.... | divinausa1
23/11/2007 08:16 | in case anyone missed this don't think it was posted here Tiddler to watch EBT Mobile, China's answer to Carphone Warehouse, was unchanged at 17¼p, despite signing a deal with the Chinese arm of NEW, of the United States, to provide extended service agreements to its customers. Panmure Gordon believes that this could help EBT to break even next year and that shares are worth 36p. | divinausa1

20/11/2007 10:05 | Hattori_Hanzo - 3 Aug'07 - 14:31 - 152 of 173 edit Aye! NB: Listen not to the rantings of fools, but heed a word from the wise. However, I wish MOST holders the best of luck with EBT. There's still potential for growth here, but I wouldn't be a buyer just yet as the execution risk still remains and this is not the type of share to buy in the current market conditions, imho. | hattori_hanzo
20/11/2007 08:54 | Some worries over China mobile's power being weakened and the uncertainty over the ipjone launch in China being delayed. Watching carefully. | britishbear
20/11/2007 07:34 | Slap, 1 year is short term, problem with todays investors they want gains in a very short time frame. Im also on a five year short term! view. Yes! 5 yrs is short! Im not to concerned what the share price does this week next month only to the point of considering buying more. Nowt wrong with the company and market for mobile phones in china is not going to disapear. EBT Mobile China confident of FY as holiday sales soar LONDON (Thomson Financial) - EBT Mobile China PLC said it is confident of meeting full-year expectations after a surge in sales during the recent holiday week period and inking a deal with Wal-Mart China to operate within some of its stores. | divinausa1
19/11/2007 23:55 | I was arguing with someone on this board ages ago about how this was overvalued and hype... stock had gone down a lot and the poster kept on going on about how his time horizon was 5-10 years... so he didn't mind short term fluctuations... well bully for him..... now on a 50% loss in the space of a year and if you don't mind that you must be barmy... Slap | slapdash
19/11/2007 14:40 | This EBT still too high, should be approx 8 or 9p going by p/e rating and growth expectations, imho. | cordwainer

13/11/2007 09:29 | Some months ago, I and another on this thread checked through the holdings of investment houses. We found that they and the management of the company held betweem 90 and 95% of the shares in issue. As far as I can see, there has been no reduction in the fund holdings (in fact Audley has been increasing its holding up to August). So there are very few shares traded, and the drift in the share price has occurred because there has been no meaningful improvement in profits. In fact there was a minor profit warning back in early summer. As I view things, the company has been focussed on building its footprint of retail outlets in China, which it has done very successfully. I am just waiting for the volume of sales (and new products) to expand through these outlets and generate the profit that I think a company operating in a high growth market, with low product penetration, ought to be able to sustain. I guess the investment houses also hold to the same view. All IMHO. | silverthread
13/11/2007 08:55 | is this company ever going to rise?? im in for the long haul but there is definately a lack of support for this stock at the moment! anyone shed any light on how low this might go?? | thebull3 |
