13/11/2007 08:38 | Been waiting a long time for more news. Nothing huge, but nice to see EBT announcing something. EBT MOBILE CHINA PLC ('EBT Mobile' or the 'Company') Launch of Extended Service Plans in co-operation with N.E.W. EBT Mobile, a leading China-based retail chain selling mobile phones and related products and services, is pleased to announce that it has signed an agreement with NEW (Tianjin) Ltd., Co. ('NEW') to provide extended service plans in China to EBT's customers. This represents a potential new source of revenue for the Company as it has not previously offered these plans. NEW is the subsidiary of N.E.W. Customer Service Companies, Inc. (with headquarters in Dulles, Virginia, USA), a leading provider of extended service plans, buyer protection services and product support programmes to over 100 million consumers in the United States. EBT joins B&Q and Bestbuy as partners of N.E.W in China and is the first Chinese mobile phone retailer to collaborate with N.E.W to offer extended service plans to its customers. Zhang Ge, CEO of EBT Mobile said: 'This agreement makes us the only mobile phone retailer to offer extended service plans to our customers in China and is another example of the value added services we provide. We believe that these types of services will enhance customer loyalty and improve our margins.' 18/10/2007 08:56 | The 150k,75k and 80k trades are buys disguised to look like sells. This looks like closing blue today. | ursamajorra
17/10/2007 16:30 | I agree with explorer's 'albeit' not easy to compare with CW stores and different relative costs etc. I tend to use p/e though: I believe an expanding interest like EBT should have a very high prospective p/e, but triple digits for year ending 31-dec-08 is still a bit rich for me. | cordwainer
16/10/2007 18:03 | nice figs explorer not sure why we have dropped back so far even those figs are on the side of caution.... | divinausa1
16/10/2007 17:09 | Carphone warehouse has 2250 stores in relatively mature mobile phone markets and is valued at £2990 million EBT has 250 stores in growing market for mobile phones (albeit smaller stores and many operating within Carrefour etc. stores) and is valued at £42 million 2250 stores - £2990m m/c vs 250 stores - £42m m/c ...:-) If EBT isn't bought by Audley at around 35p in the next few months, my 12 month share price target for EBT is 50-60p (i.e m/c of £110m - £130m) | explorer88
14/10/2007 23:47 | Good to see there is hope for an on-target FY, but still a tad too expensive imho. I could be tempted @ 16p or below. However, maybe the market just hasn't yet caught up with the latest news yet... due to this I wouldn't sell if i was already a holder. | cordwainer
14/10/2007 10:38 | what will happen if Audley buy the rest of EBT ...:-) | explorer88
14/10/2007 09:14 | What will happen if Audley continues to buy? | azalea
14/10/2007 08:35 | Revisiting shares I have sold. Sold these 8/6/07 for 26.5p. There appears to be goodish news, but even with Audley buying, the price carries on downwards. Whay will happen when they stop buying ??? | tyranosaurus
12/10/2007 10:42 | MOBILE WIMAX will become the third major purveyor of mobile broadband after Cdma2000 EV-DO in second place and HSPA (high speed 3G/W-CDMA). That's according to Mike Roberts, author of Informa's Future mobile broadband report. He also makes a very brave predication about the Chinese mobile broadband market. He reckons that by 2012, there will be close to 50 million subscribers in China using TD-SCDMA. That's China's locally developed version of 3G. | divinausa1
12/10/2007 10:40 | Mobile & Wireless | China EBT Mobile signs deal with Wal-Mart China | divinausa1
12/10/2007 09:01 | The share price is circa 15% below the placing @ 22p. | azalea

12/10/2007 08:32 | Those trades going thru at 19.125 are buys not sells. | kallista
12/10/2007 08:04 | strange no movement upwards afer such good news | anusol
12/10/2007 07:30 | Exclusive relationship with Wal Mart (another 20 stores in the next three months) and improved H2 gross margins. EBT is now significantly undervalued. Wonder if/when Audley will make a bid for EBT? I predict that share price will rebound to around 26-27p and Audley bid will eventually come at around 35p (My last two takeover predictions, this year, were SRF and UBQ. Ubiquity was at 19p - same share price as EBT at the moment - before takeover at 37p) | explorer88
12/10/2007 06:45 | Shame about the typhoon hitting sales on the last day on the holidays but still a great growth story unfolding here. NO reason to sell and will be buying more........ | divinausa1
