At these levels will still so much uncertainty around.....this stock is still overvalued and Stelios is still right to insist that airbus orders need to be cancelled.

One thing that many people are failing to take into account is the reasoning behind why traffic volumes will not return until a vaccine has been found. I love to travel, but one thing now that will always be at the forefront of my mind when travelling is.....what are the hospital facilities likes at my chosen destination and will I be covered? Especially with the UK treatries on recipriocal european union health care coming to an end because of brexit....what does that mean for a UK citizen falling ill with covid whilst overseas? I doubt any insurance policy you take out today will cover that.

Following the instigation of worldwide travel restrictions caused by the Coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic, there is still no demand for air travel insight, The Austrian Ministry of Health announced that the current landing bans will also remain in place for a longer period of time.

Therefore, Vienna based Austrian Airlines has decided to extend the suspension of its normal flight schedule for another two weeks, from May 18 to May 31, 2020.

Austrian Airlines can only envisage a slow resumption of regular flight operations in June at the earliest. Nevertheless, Austrian intends to closely monitor the further development and will only resume flight operations when demand picks up again.

“Unlike some competitors, we want to avoid empty flights at all costs. We will only take off when a new start makes sense for Austrian Airlines and when the ease of travel restrictions makes this possible”, comments Austrian Airlines Chief Commercial Officer Andreas Otto on the plans of the red-white-red airline.

Berkshire Hathaway, a multinational conglomerate based in Nebraska, had held sizeable positions in the airlines.

According to the company's filings, it had an 11% stake in Delta Air Lines, 10% of American Airlines Co, 10% of Southwest Airlines Co and 9% of United Airlines at the end of 2019.

"We will not fund a company... where we think that it is going to chew up money in the future."

Unless you are environmentally minded and object to airline travel (or short)
I see little reason to cheer this Industry facing huge difficulty.
There will be significant loss of jobs which ripples out to manufacturing, service
and leisure companies. All those without employment are themselves consumers and
subsequently cut back spending. The entire economy suffers and ultimately tax payers are on the hook for government expenditure to prop up the economy. Our national debt is rising exponentially atm.

We do not know when Buffet sold out of his airline stocks. All we do know is the date when he initially trimmed his position to under 10% as unlike the UK which is at 3% in the USA it's at 10% when a position has to be notified.

I can now see what Buffet was doing, trim to below 10%, then wait for the bounce and with out anybody else really noticing or knowing to sell out of his airline stocks completely which he could of done any time over the past 3 weeks or so.

One of the main problems with an antibody test is at the moment the coronavirus is so new that the medico's do not know how long a person is immune for after having the virus - could be anywhere from 3 months to 5 years.

The answer perhaps lies in the antibody test. People could then be given a certificate, similar to the one for yellow fever given when one is vaccinated against it. There would then be a pool of non-vulnerable people who would be willing to pay top price for a holiday abroad. Later, perhaps in six to nine months time vaccination will arrive so, provided EZY has sufficient capital available to it, there could be better times ahead. Here's to the sunny uplands. WB is staffed by humans and we don't always get everything right all of the time.
