Spot on Phil. Some of the loonies on here are clearly gambling their last few pounds in the hope that they will time everything perfectly this time. They won't.

They have ignored the basic principle of being prepared to lose everything if you are gambling all you have. I state that from experience........ my dad was a bookie and soon taught me that you can't beat the system.

He was often given tips by trainers and jockeys. Not for the horses that were going to have a good chance of winning. No, it was for the ones that were going to be held back a little. As a result he could take as many bets as he could for the donkeys :-)

He retired early.

You need a regular income in times like these if you want to faff about with shares.
