RNS today re property disposal. Wish they'd make up their mind!

I assume that it is a positive move. The previous cancellation was of benefit to DYS because it meant that the property could become part of discussions with the banks in renegotiating covenants. For the sale to be back on may mean that those discussions have progressed well?

Final selling price was £5k lower than the original price - but higher than book value.

The following amendment has been made to the value of £1.5 million to £1.25 million.
Announcement released on 23 December 2008 at 16.51 pm under RNS No 7321K.

All other details remain unchanged.

Dyson Group Plc ("Dyson" or "Company")

Property Disposal

The Company is pleased to announce that it has exchanged contracts for the conditional sale of its freehold land and buildings at
Fulwood Road, Sheffield, currently used as the Group's registered office, for £1.4 million in cash. The property was stated in the Group's
last interim accounts as at 30 September 2008 at a value of £1.25 million.

The contract is conditional, inter alia, on shareholders' approval in a general meeting being given by no later than 31st March 2009.
The Company is in the process of drafting an appropriate circular which will be despatched to shareholders in the New Year.

The proceeds of this sale will be used for current working capital requirements. The staff employed at Fulwood Road will relocate to the
Company's premises at Baslow Road in Sheffield.

In light of the ongoing discussions with the banks, the Group today announces that the contract for the Property Disposal has been cancelled. Other than the clarification referred to, there has been no significant change affecting any matter contained in the announcement made on 23 December 2008 and no other significant new matter has arisen, which would have been required to be included in that announcement had it arisen at that time. "

non core property, the unconditional sale of its freehold land and buildings at 381, Fulwood Road Sheffield (currently used as its registered office) for a
price of GBP1.35 million in cash to Mrs Jennifer Jane Barlow. 5 per cent of the consideration will be paid on 15 May 2009 with the balance payable on
completion. The proceeds of this sale will be used to reduce net borrowings.

The Directors expect completion to take place at the end of August 2009, though under the terms of the contract completion may take place at the later date of 15 September 2009 or earlier at Dyson's option, subject to at least 10 days advance notice to the purchaser that completion is to be brought forward to the last working day of any month before 15 September 2009.

this could go either way, high risk however with sentiment driving a recovery we could see a strong recovery in DYS in the short term.

Gordon, it doesnt take a lot to see this double. It has fallen from £1 in a short space. Has £30m of property assets, £14m could be sold as they arent needed.

Market cap. is £6m#
