31/7/2009 08:37 | What time is the statement going to be made? | hamblyr
30/7/2009 23:25 | This might rub off on DYS, esp. recovery in vehicle sector: "Shares in mining group Lonmin (LMI) rocketed by 105p to 1,360p as Citigroup raised its recommendation on the platinum producer from "hold" to "buy". The analyst believes that the worst of the group's problems are now over. There have been signs of recovery in the car market which should benefit the company and there has also been a weakening in the South African Rand." | napoleon 14th
28/7/2009 08:20 | Gordon i agree, the share price should start to head north as 31st deadline appears. | jamrol
27/7/2009 20:33 | Let's hope so GB! | hamblyr
27/7/2009 14:40 | KAJSHARES I think any drop is priced in since the statement, i.e. company value at 5m the board need to confirm funding on the 31st July, so we could have a rally. DYOR | gordonbrown
27/7/2009 14:31 | All the technicals on this share are negative. I was quite bullish about this about 2 months ago. Admittedly the problems with the car industry did not help either. Irrespective of the problems, I cannot beleieve how badly this share has performed and how wrong I have been. I think the compaany have to do something to stimulate some interest. I note the trading statement is due soon. It is possible that the share price would fall to a new low but I really hope not. . | kajshares

17/7/2009 08:42 | It is time the board showed us some good news, perhaps buying stock or selling part of the overseas business, either way shareholder value needs to be demonstrated. In the process of finalising the accounts for the year ended 31 March 2009, the Group has undertaken impairment reviews of all businesses which will result in impairment provisions against the carrying value of goodwill, fixed assets, and capitalised development costs in relation to certain businesses and provisions against inventory, and other items. These are in addition to the annual revaluations of its property portfolio and pension funds. The revaluations of the property portfolio and pension funds have been finalised, resulting in a reduction in the property valuation of £11.9 million and an increase of £10.6 million in the pension scheme deficit. All other impairment reviews are still in progress and will be finalised shortly and are subject to audit. As a result, the Directors' expectation is a total reduction in net asset value of the Group from £38.1 million at 31 March 2008 to no more than £5 million at 31 March 2009. There is no cash impact of the impairment. Trading continues in line with management expectations as previously announced. Annual results of the Group for the year ended 31 March 2009 are expected to be announced on 31 July 2009 | gordonbrown
17/7/2009 07:56 | IMS not to bright...write down of assest etc. Good news is that the prelims are to ne announced 31.7.2009 | sleveen
17/7/2009 01:32 | gb - this could, just could, suddenly react to good news in car market. That's why you & I hold during the boring times like this. Patience! | napoleon 14th

06/7/2009 09:41 | Nice tick-up... | hamblyr
05/7/2009 22:45 | So I took that calculated risk & put 5000 into my ISA. Small fry, but 10-bagger potential if they recover fully. That'll take a couple of years or more. Maybe a quick bid @ 50p would be better! | napoleon 14th
01/7/2009 14:55 | dam you DYS all my other stocks are blue today!! | jamrol
29/6/2009 13:17 | okay so I post and all of a sudden the share price moves, wish I hadn't now | jamrol

25/6/2009 20:03 | sharw I am corrected, however you haven't added anything new either 8) | gordonbrown
25/6/2009 13:14 | A better classification for DYS would be "Technical Ceramics" - although that does not cover everything. Porvair is the nearest comparison - Morgan Crucible (massively weighed down by debt) is another. Surface Transforms are perhaps a similar core technology but a different application. | garth |
