24/6/2009 17:34 | A decent calculated risk, I'd say. When those shmucks actually PAY for the shares in DTK (that have been suspended) FOUR MONTHS after the agreed takeover, I'll get a few of these. I used to have a load but got rid a while ago, last lot @ over £1 thank goodness. | napoleon 14th
18/6/2009 20:04 | Thanks GB. | hamblyr
18/6/2009 20:02 | so funding secure for two years, taken from iii.... I was one of only two PI's to attend and I guess the other half dozen represented other interests. It was clear that mistakes about the direction of the company had been made in the past, but as two questioners put it, 'we are where we are and have to move on.' The board and Chairman were frank in their responses. Discussions with the banks are continuing and even in these dire circumstances the one positive I was told is that the company can last for the next two years, now these resolutions have been passed. This should be enough time to see a positive outcome. But nothing is certain. The bald fact is that whatever the company produces it now finds less volume from sales and this will only change once more cars are being manufactured. This will have to happen - one hopes that production levels in the automotive industry will be in better shape during the timeframe of the next 2 years! | gordonbrown

15/6/2009 12:24 | Thats right - no divi this year. And it used to be 4.3p - not 3.4p as I quickly bashed off this morning! | garth
15/6/2009 11:18 | What dividend? The interim was cut and, given the financial situation with a loss expected for the full year, I would be very surprised if there was a final dividend. | sharw
15/6/2009 10:23 | What date is the dividend? TIA. | hamblyr
15/6/2009 09:31 | thanks garth that is very helpfull, at least we still get a div of 3.4p. ball | ball deap
15/6/2009 06:21 | Ball Deap, Divi has been in recent years been 3.4p for the year. The issue is the debt and ongoing negotiation with banks. Surplus assets should in time cover a significant chunk of the debt. Pre-recession and automotive implosion earnings potential was judged to be around 16p eps. The market cap is low - the overall valuation incl the debt is around £40m. Last year they made about £6m The question is at what point and under what terms they renegotiate the debt and what the outlook is like for next year. The gearing situation is such that the share price could increase by 600% from here but the overall valuation (incl debt) would only have doubled. It is a question of risk. All IMO - quickly bashed out with no direct reference to the figures - just what is in the head. Do your own research. G. | garth
14/6/2009 20:37 | Has this company stopped issuing a dividend as the last div was 16p??? share price is 22 ??? The asset valluve is well above that, what the hell is going on here? | ball deap
12/6/2009 13:39 | Barclays increased by 2,250 shares - presumably in a nominee a/c | garth

10/6/2009 14:56 | and then up, then down, then up just need funding to be resolved to gain a direction. | gordonbrown
10/6/2009 13:31 | Down she goes! | hamblyr
05/6/2009 13:35 | Discussions with the Group's two banks, Lloyds TSB and Svenska Handelsbanken are continuing with regard to debt facilities and banking covenants are resolution of this would be the board' good news IMHO | gordonbrown
05/6/2009 12:14 | not surprised by the trading statement, cars have been stockpiled and production severly reduced, any recent sales due to government cashback schemes have only reduced stocks not increased production. Therefore, with continual falling revenues not surprised either that convincing banks to stump up cash in these times is difficult. Until there is a more positive outlook things aren't going to improve. | diesel
05/6/2009 11:30 | garth - results were 26/6 last year. Agree that trading is no surprise given that GM must be one of largest customers for Saffil/Ecoflex. gordonbrown- the Board are obliged to be reasonably honest - they can't give the markets positive news if there isn't any. | sharw |
