I have not gone through the results properly yet -

But I hate seeing headlines based upon "Adjusted Anything " as it all to often these days is just BS.

so

DX Freight ..... EBITDA loss for the year was reduced by 85% to GBP1.2 million (2019: loss of GBP7.8 million). This substantial advancement was mainly driven by the expansion and improvements in productivity of our 1-Man service, and the division achieved EBITDA profitability of GBP0.7 million

So trumpeting the EBITDA - what an achievement........

BUT

"TRANSITION TO IFRS 16 'LEASES'

"The impact on the income statement has meant that EBITDA has significantly increased. "

"The depreciation charge has also increased significantly along with additional amounts being charged to interest."

So again I have not read everything but on glancing those to bits of info stood out

It seems its just spin !

BS EBITDA based upon IFRS16

FFS !

They look very good compared to 2018 and wonderful compared to 2017.

It's not so much where they are now that is excellent, it is the direction and speed of travel.

Just one to tuck away. I expect this to be taken out at 30-40p sometime in the next few years to give the management team an exit.

Bluebird13, I am a shareholder and I advise you to read the previous posts particularly regarding director's share purchases. No one knows the company better than they do. There are charts of the share price over time at the top of this page. Below the charts are the company fundamentals. Below that is company news which you click on to read. I am gobsmacked that someone can buy a share and then be surprised that the price can change. That has got to be a wind-up, but you never know in modern Britain.

No I’m an interested observer but not a shareholder...I̵7;ve no idea about the direction of the share price...your only clue is the performance of the business...you would be best concentrating on that as the share price is simply a volatile lagging indicator of that & probably best ignored In the short term

Thanks for your advice, I think I'm beginning to realise that now and that's it's not that easy. Have you got shares in DX and if so what is your opinion on the share price direction? Thsnks

Nobody can predict share prices....you need to think about the way the business is performing imho..as that is the thing you bought a piece of

Hi, I'm new to shares and have bought into DX as a recent forecast was for the so to go from 14p to 30p. However,I'm confused because the share price dipped on 14 July by 1p despite the company having posted positive trading results. Why would the share price dip following such a positive trading report? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

DX (Group)
brokers have set a 30p objective price In a 39-page ‘rebuilding profitability’ research note, brokers Liberum Capital have become very bullish of the prospects for this delivery group – they are forecasting a price rise to 30p, compared to the current 14.75p.

Well turnover is heading for £350m, so high single digit or even double digit earning margins would deliver earnings of £30-35m. Current market cap at 15p is £86m. Draw your own conclusions...

Life O' Reilly here just bought in...

Amongst attractive company fudamentals I also was persuaded by this commentary to invest :

'Analysts at Liberum hiked their target price on British logistics outfit DX from 14.0p to 30.0p on Wednesday, stating the group had executed "a remarkable turnaround".
Liberum said since DX's current management team arrived on the scene back in October 2017, the group had been refinanced and rescued as its financial performance recovered "to the brink of breakeven".

While Liberum said it was still examining the options for rebuilding profitability and pursuing growth, it said DX had weathered the Covid-19 crisis so far, but highlighted that it felt the group's valuation did not reflect the structural progress to date or the potential for further improvement.

The broker, which also reiterated its 'buy' rating on the group, believes underlying earnings margins could reach "high single-digit levels" on a three-year view, and possibly double-digit levels long term.

"We believe the recovery has been driven by revenue growth, rather than cost-cutting, suggesting the improvements to date are both sustainable and repeatable," said the analysts.

Liberum added that DX's forecast improvement in profitability was expected to be accompanied by a similar improvement and inflexion in free cash flow.

"In our view, this drives an attractive equity-free cash flow yield towards the end of our forecast period, as well as supporting our DCF valuation."

More buying by directors. Since 19 March that's 1,943,996 shares bought by the board. Clearly they see value here.
