Very slow today. Have DX. on another watchlist (only so many that can be watched at once without the eye balls frazzling) and noted the two large blocks of 20m and 21m.

It's on the main viewed watchlists now but nothing tempting as yet as those exchanges haven't moved the dial.

Any more for any more?

Not that many will be watching today. I'm sure folk will be out enjoying the sun (or at least trying!).

Write off Tuesday?

Actually, considering the shortened week, weather and how light the volumes are, it could be a write off of the rest of the week. Feels very summer like out there in terms of movements and volumes.

All imo

I know this was tipped up and the directors are adding, so now on the watch list as the company seem to be turning things around.

Another depot opened. If DX. can start to drive their revenue line upwards then, comined with improving margin, we should see significant increases in profits. Finncap are currently forecasting an EPS for 2023 of 2.6p putting DX. on a forward P/E of 11 with cash in the bank and a return to a dividend of 0.5p (yield of 1.8%). Looks conservative to me but time will tell...

I agree with your Iceberg theory, that's why I was busy accumulating fro. 10p onwards. However I suspect the amount of Iceberg you imagine is now very different to what I know imagine. I'm sure you won't go far wrong if you horizons are particularly long, but short term it still looks expensive to me and I would prefer to wait for a sensible re-entry now that all the knowledge of the turnaround has been established. Good luck.

Spot on Steve.

Was also encouraged that Paul Scott thought it was overvalued and put a valuation at 18p on it!

P.S. I'm being churlish - I do get his rationale - just don't agree it.

In companies emerging into profit like this, the profit is like an iceberg. Small movements in underlying margins and growth in revenue will have a disproportionately large impact on profits.

This will get taken over as part of industry consolidation. Strip out central overheads and you have an annualised (but growing) £30m contribution. At current share price that's under 6 x operating profit (or under 4 x ebitda). Bargain...

Great results but as expected. Nothing to indicate growth will be as stratospheric as the turnaround. Certainly good work but I did warn about this in my last post to its of very little surprise to see it falling back to earth as reality sets in. Certainly worth keeping an eye on for accumulating at lower prices. Perhaps early to mid summer will present a re-entry point for me. In a few years time it will be a different story and ultimately may be taken private by PE.

That's an absolutely stonking turnaround in freight. In 2019 made an ebida loss of £7.8m, in 2020 an ebitda profit of £13.8m and now an ebitda profit of £15.5m in just the first half.

Another positive announcement. If they can get the topline moving as well as the margin, this should really fly...

I agree, the current market expectations are already very bullish based on November annoucement. To materially exceed the current expectations mean to exceed the revised expectaions. This is where the Directors need to at least provide a bit of numbers regarding 'current market expectations'.

Business always falls off after the first 2 weeks in January then picks up after about 4 weeks, budgets allow for this

I have to say I had interpreted it differently; namely that they were ahead of the revised market expectations, those market expectations having risen in November. But I may well be wrong. It wouldn't be the first time!
