Agree FutureDlighter...what is known as an apathetic drift, on low volume.

Disappointed with the share price action, and mildly concerned that even with the news there is just not enough interest in a thin name to drive the shares higher.

I guess news will help, and proof they can deliver their strategy...just going to need a little patience.

I don't read much into this fall. The market is obviously expecting news of a completed deal and with its usual impatience is getting bored with waiting. Hopefully there will be news quite soon.

Hi notable,

It is my understanding that the lunch meeting last week was an informal affair with a dozen or so investors, and as you described was putting their story out to a wider audience.
From the feedback I have had, they are being offered many opportunities and being approached by various HA's and it sounds like a case of picking the best ones, with the least risk that provides the most steady returns. I also understand, that it is their intention to pay a dividend north of 5% (apparently 10% was mentioned)and that, all things being equal, would be a target within 18 months.
I guess we will know how well they are able to implement their plans if and when the second deal is announced, and if they provide some update with regard to their further pipeline.

According to a mate of mine in The City, the board had a meeting with some brokers yesterday to give them a presentation of what they do and answer questions without making them insiders. He said some went in with thoughts it was a property developer or a REIT and this was cleared up that it is neither. They hold freehold of the properties they acquire, negate risk by having a very very long lease or agreement for one in place with a housing association which adds value to the property immediately and sell the lease for a one-off pile of cash which they can reinvest in growing the property portfolio. He said they explained that the selling of the income to big institutions for a nice pile of cash is the number one priority, the lift in teh value of the properties over the years is a bonus.
