For sure looking at UK packed stores will yield little. It’s the US where the problems are. US wholesalers are low on stock - according to the last TU. Are they low on inventory as they expect little demand or because they are cautious? Management credibility is shot after 4 PWs in a year. Once US demand returns, the shares should fly.

The stores are full of worried investors doing due diligence and ending up wondering why sales are collapsing even though the shop was packed

The question in The Times biz section today,

How many profit warnings did Docs have in 2023?

I've been passed and gone into my local shop on 6 or 7 occasions in the last 2 months and only actually once seen a customer in the shop! £150 for a pair of DM's. Really!!

I'm hearing you, CT. But like Dart/Jet2, I don't know the bottom. Started buying Dart at 80p and bought all the way down to 16p. I'm now out of that one but I like these floats that came at silly prices and now priced for no growth. It is beyond me that investors still buy shares from private equity companies. Time and time again these businesses have been starved of investment and a top line juiced for growth. Vic Plumbing has a similar driven CEO to Dart with the energy and drive to really grow that business, as does MindGym.

Consumer headwinds in the US are likely to overshadow any improvement elsewhere.

I like the DTC model. In the UK we of a certain age think of docs as being super quality lasting for years. DM are selling to a new generation in new markets and good quality rather than super quality is required.
My 17 year old son sees DM as a girls and LGBTQ brand. Not a bad thing as females buy 2:1 more than males. Long term DM is a trend worry as fashions change season by season. Look how Crocs went from hot to not and back again.

Hats off to you CT, you called this right. After three profit warnings and still not much sign IMO that the underlying issues have been sorted I'm inclined to agree and confidence in the BoD is now zero.Hope for holders that there's some future return, who knows the brand must be worth a lot to someone.

I said on Jun 1 there was no compelling reason to buy these or other equities, the share price was at 140p then, the chart doesn’t
