28/7/2023 10:09 | The constant buying of the share buy back program helping. Most companies buy stock at highs. At least docs are buying a depressed price. | mozy123

26/6/2023 21:51 | Still grossly over valued (imo) for a maker of boots - Fashion appears to be changing or with pressure on domestic budgets potential purchasers trading down. | pugugly

22/6/2023 10:03 | I think today is a new low? tiger | castleford tiger
09/6/2023 15:45 | Yes, to clarify not saying they would be the sole seller, that would not happen, however IF they choose to sell might possibly unload another say 15 GBP million worth. This is all highly speculative as I have no insight in to their intentions. When I first saw calls of near 1 pound a share here considered that way too low, but tbf at the time strong future growth was forecast. | essentialinvestor
09/6/2023 15:35 | EI yes they can be cancelled I also think VT is correct they would need a tender offer to buy shares..........to buy from a single holder would not be allowed tiger | castleford tiger
09/6/2023 14:09 | Thanks EI and VT for info, possibly that's why BB news was a damp squib. | disc0dave45
09/6/2023 12:36 | * made that point previously, I detailed their approx cumulative amount from listing onwards - plus the divi payments add further. | essentialinvestor
09/6/2023 09:46 | Even at current levels, Permira is so in the money having paid £300m for the business. Moreover, they will probably have used some debt and so the return on equity investment is probably greater. If the buyback is done as an open market purchase (and it's completed at market prices and there are rules around this), there will be nothing to stop Permira from participating as this can be the usual way for a large shareholder to exit. Indeed this is often the route out for activist shareholders. If it's a formal tender then it's different but formal tenders are normally conducted when the repurchase is for a significant amount of the shares in issue, which is not the case here. I think tender offers when the company wants to buy back 15% of the shares. Most companies get the authority at the AGM to repurchase 10-15%. | velocytongo
09/6/2023 08:26 | Tiger, shares bought back do not necessarily go in to treasury, they can be cancelled. | essentialinvestor
09/6/2023 08:16 | chartwise , it looks really bad and a SOR situation . So more downside looks likely sadly | arja |
