29/10/2015 21:16 | Not me - I was out all day shopping - lol. | 2pablo
29/10/2015 14:31 | Seems to be quite a few punters "spooked" by today's fall in the price. | tiltonboy
27/10/2015 19:15 | 2p, ex-County cricketer...lol...I wish. I did bat with Gordon Greenidge a couple of years ago, shared the bowling attack with John Emburey, and field in the covers with Inzaman-ul-haq, but that's the extent of my fame. I'm still playing in the Warwickshire League, but not at a brilliant standard. I think it was September 1997, but it may have been "Winker" Watkinson's testimonial not "Athers" ( I played in both). We put a team in, via my contacts in Manchester, and had Glenn Chappell in the team on one occasion, and Peter Martin the other. I was stretching (pardon the pun) the case for big Kev. He is in Canada, but just a Constable! Let me know what Allenby say, if they come back to you. I see the MM's were offering a decent number again this afternoon! | tiltonboy
27/10/2015 17:59 | Tilton - fantastic, Big Kev cult hero for County too, he used to score virtually every week at one stage. Strangely not that great in the air but such long legs could reach almost anything! Now a mountie - need a big horse! Mike Atherton's testimonial cricket match? When was that then and are you an ex-county player then (or ex-International) ? Still awaiting Allenby callback - will try again tomorrow. | 2pablo
27/10/2015 15:01 | I can't see them making a bid, so they will have to argue that they are not a "concert party". Big Kev was a cult hero for the Blues, and is now a Mountie, would you believe. Last time I went to Stockport was when we lost 2-1 on a Tuesday night. I had played in Mike Atherton's testimonial at Old Trafford earlier in the day, so we went to the game! | tiltonboy
27/10/2015 14:13 | Get what your saying, Tilton, but can't see why a 'Whitewash' would be granted in retrospect. Have seen that happen a couple of times on my shares where a placing often with warrants involved, was made and if everything was taken up and warrants exercised, someone's resultant holding would be over 30%. It was agreed before the pacing a 'whitewash' could occur but don't think this would be normal here. Another question for Allenby! I suppose because you're such a big boy you get direct calls from mm's - they don't call me for a few shillings! Talking of Big Boys(lol), do you remember Kevin Francis? You got him from one of my old favourites Stockport County - he was a giant of a centre forward for County and had some impact at Brum I believe? | 2pablo
27/10/2015 13:02 | When you have got a controlling stake, you can do very much what you want, within reason. They obviously want to be able to have a say in what is going on, but we do not know what their motives are. I do not believe there will be a takeover. They may even apply for a "whitewash" under rule 9 of the Takeover Code, which means that wouldn't have to make a bid. I just hope that they get on board, and they are better than the incumbents at running the company for the benefit of shareholders. One of the market-makers offered me the 2m shares. | tiltonboy
27/10/2015 12:50 | tilton - you have raised more questions in my mind than answered any. The Board could just resign?? No-one has been saying that and the proposal is simply for 2 new appointees at the moment. If that is what you're thinking, you seem definite on the 'concert party' takeover? Where are you seeing these 2m shares, on L2? | 2pablo
27/10/2015 11:53 | 2p, The incumbent board could just resign, and be replaced by the new directors. It wouldn't need a meeting for that to happen. I should have held back on that latest purchase. I think the MM's will walk this down, until the 2m shares have been placed. I put in a cheeky bid for them yesterday, but the seller didn't want to sell at that price. | tiltonboy
27/10/2015 11:12 | Tilton - they still need to go through the motions and this meeting is the only mechanism. As you say, they will then, inevitably, be on the board. It is still not clear what the next step is. A concert party according to the Stock Exchange : "a number of parties who separately invest in a company with the concealed intention of using their holdings as a single block." Well they are certainly doing that. Going to check out with Nomad Allenby what their current take on the concert party is. We're an I-o-Man company but, as far as I can see, takeover rules are identical to UK rules - will check that too. They are on callback. | 2pablo
27/10/2015 08:37 | The meeting is now pointless, as the requisitioners in effect can just vote themselves on board. Lets see what their plans are! | tiltonboy
27/10/2015 08:27 | DQ Entertainment PLC Update on Requisition of General Meeting Alert TIDMDQE RNS Number : 5306D DQ Entertainment PLC 27 October 2015 For immediate release 27 October 2015 DQ Entertainment plc ("DQE" or "the Company") Update on Requisition of General Meeting As announced on 30 September 2015, on 28 September 2015 the Company received a letter (the "Requisition Letter") from Platinum Consulting Group, Anil Chintapalli and Corporate Computer Services (collectively the "Requisitioners") regarding a requisition for DQE to convene an extraordinary general meeting of the Company (the "General Meeting") to propose resolutions to appoint Anil Chintapalli and Suresh Chitturi (the "Proposed Directors") as directors of the Company with immediate effect. 24/10/2015 16:03 | The requisitioners are not yet a fully designated 'concert party' working together although they do appear as such. If, or when, they become one, I am of the understanding they MUST offer to buy all the shares in the company at the highest price they paid in the last 12 months - which must be about 9p. Soon find out. GL All | 2pablo
24/10/2015 15:59 | Well I would have never guessed about Tilton Rd end ! I'm a Spurs man myself. Don't know any of those other stocks you mention (besides PEG). If you ever dabble in gold, CGH Charaat should finally come good in the next few months. Definitive Feasibility Study any day and Chinese JV/takeover very much on the cards. When you say chugging along at 10% - 15% per year I presume you mean boring profit - I'm chugging along at about 10% - 15% loss each year for the last three - such is life. | 2pablo
24/10/2015 11:53 | The board have a week to respond to the EGM requisition, so not long to wait. I think the requisitioners will be able to do what they want given the respective shareholdings. I just hope they have honourable intentions! | tiltonboy
24/10/2015 11:36 | Good chat boys and girls I think CCS are certainly controlling the SP I'm not so sure 9p is on the cards Pablo, hoping to be proved wrong | dicko80
23/10/2015 20:50 | 2p Stood/sat on the Tilton Road end at St Andrews for the best part of 50 years. A "bluenose" through and through! Main active positions at the moment are LXB, ARTL, and JPEL (I have around 25 holdings in total). I'm happy chugging along at 10-15% per annum, and no longer looking for the multi-bagger. Gone boring in my old age! | tiltonboy
23/10/2015 18:22 | 2p, Dont worry about me...lol...I am well diversified, and like to have a few punts in smaller companies. Most of my portfolio is in fixed interest or undervalued prop co's and investment trusts. Got positions in PEG and DAIP as well, for my sins! | tiltonboy
23/10/2015 14:55 | 2p, You missed one of my purchases...lol...no I think I will leave it at that level now! | tiltonboy
23/10/2015 14:54 | ....and there are plenty more where they came from. I can only assume they are coming from Mackenzie Financial Corporation, who had a couple of million shares left following sales earlier in the year. If they are coming from anywhere else, I would be concerned! If they are coming from Mackenzie, then the free float is now 14.4m. | tiltonboy
23/10/2015 14:46 | Tilton - not sure what to say. I'm beginning to really worry that this turns out well for your sake now. 800,000 shares by my reckoning but I suppose your average is coming way down. Anyway, we're all waiting now for the news on the EGM. Next week I suppose.GL | 2pablo
23/10/2015 14:09 | Well, somebody took it ;-) | borsya
23/10/2015 14:02 | borsya, Looks like they have a seller. I have just been offered 250k at 6.25p. Own up...who's selling out! | tiltonboy |
