02/11/2010 13:05 | "Opportunities for aspiring entrepreneurs with Domino's Pizza Franchises" Franchisors such as Domino's Pizza are finding the hospitality sector offers a wealth of untapped talent in the search for entrepreneurs who are keen to make their mark in the business world. Andy Hirst, head of franchise development at Domino's Pizza, explains: "The nature of franchising means that you don't need to have lots of experience or to have previously owned your own business to become a successful franchisee. However, we've recently recruited a number of new franchisees from hospitality backgrounds and found that with their experience, they are extremely well suited to our business model." full article: | philanderer
02/11/2010 11:29 | 'Police oppose extension bid' 02 November 2010 Police have objected to plans by pizza takeaway chain Domino's to open two of its stores later in the evening. The company wants to open its branches at Nicolson Street and Leith Walk until 3am at the weekend and midnight during the week. Both applications have attracted police objections. In a submission to the licensing sub-committee regarding the Nicolson Street application, police said they asked councillors to maintain the shop's existing operating hours. Councillors will make a final decision on Friday. | philanderer
01/11/2010 17:28 | No signs of heavy selling after the recent good run....consolidation around 485p would be good :-) | philanderer
29/10/2010 21:02 | Good weekend to you too c2i...... I shall be watching QPR thrash Burnley tomorrow :-) | philanderer
29/10/2010 18:37 | Evening philanderer, Yes that is good progress on a general lacklustre day in the markets. Above £4.85p puts me in 31 bagger territory. DOM might even get some good press over the weekend which could then push them into the £5 territory next week. Have a good weekend. c2i | contrarian2investor
29/10/2010 16:58 | 487.20p - 487.70p on 350k traded and that`s a new all time closing high :-) | philanderer
29/10/2010 16:04 | Afternoon c2i. Those US GDP numbers seem to be pointing to more QE next week. .. 487p - 487.50p | philanderer
29/10/2010 13:57 | philanaderer, Volume still slow and steady. We are now above £4.85p inching towards you know where. So dependant on where the YANKS take the general markets this afternoon, we could close at a new ytd high. c2i | contrarian2investor
29/10/2010 11:10 | Morning, low volume but it looks like breakout... 480.9p - 481p | philanderer
29/10/2010 00:20 | Hi c2i, I`ve had a bit of good fortune with Debenhams (DEB). I`ve been accumulating since may this year and have an average price now of 57p. Starting to get rerated recently and plenty of broker targets at 90p and above. Long way to go there I reckon - and a good overseas portfolio as well. Dividend to be reinstated next year. I`ll check out DGB, thanks. ------- No sign of an RNS today showing a buyback of DOM shares, so that volume today was really something. | philanderer
28/10/2010 21:24 | Hi philanderer, Mark Slater stated in the video that he is still holding DOM. Which is pretty sound backing. Yes £5 could happen next month. Great timing with your DOM additional purchase and your purchases of SPG. Should I start calling you a shrewdie? O/T If/when you have any new investment ideas please feel free to share. My only UK purchase this month as been DGB. They might be worth further investigation. Lots of shrewd investors are already on board. c2i | contrarian2investor |
