Hi philanderer,

Mark Slater stated in the video that he is still holding DOM. Which is pretty sound backing. Yes £5 could happen next month.

Great timing with your DOM additional purchase and your purchases of SPG. Should I start calling you a shrewdie?

O/T If/when you have any new investment ideas please feel free to share. My only UK purchase this month as been DGB. They might be worth further investigation. Lots of shrewd investors are already on board.

Afternoon c2i.

SGP - Initial purchase at 830p , then added at 910p. - ASOS (ASC) also worth checking out.

With a fair wind DOM looks ready to break out... 477.7p - 478.7p. We might get our 500p before christmas :-)

1.8m volume today - that`s a bit special !

edit: could be a company share buy back there of course.

Hi philanderer,

You are most welcome. At what price did you buy into SGP?
It loks like I missed that boat. Unless of course it is indeed an early stage DOM, FCCN or GAP.

Hi philanderer,

Here is a link for a video with Mark Slater and Motley Fool's David Kuo. They discuss DOM after about 19 minutes in. The video makes for very good listening overall. I know you also like SPG which is discussed at length.

"Pizza chain Domino's to open on London Road, Loudwater"

Takeaway chain Domino's Pizza is to open a store in Loudwater next month.

The firm said the store will create about 25 to 35 jobs when it opens in the former Kingfisher Music Company shop, which is next to Mr India, on London Road.

Domino's was founded in 1960 and opened its first UK store in Luton in 1985. There are more than 600 branches in the country, including Castle Street, High Wycombe

"Domino's Pizza Colchester fund raising for Help For Heroes"

October 26, 2010

Starting from October 25th until the 31st, leading home pizza delivery service, Domino's Pizza, will be collecting 50p from every pizza sold and donating the money to the worthy charity which supports the armed forces

The idea came after Domino's Pizza in Colchester announced they planned to hold a fund raising campaign for the charity. The store manager, Aman Singh, say they've been searching for some time to find the right charity to fund raise for, and with Colchester's strong military connections, Help For Heroes seemed the perfect choice.

As well as donating part of the proceeds of their pizza sales to the charity, Colchester's Domino's Pizza branch have also launched an exclusive offer of any pizza, any size, for just £8.99. The offer is available on both collections and deliveries, "so everyone will be getting something extra from Colchester's Domino's" says Aman Singh.

Domino's Pizza in Colchester are also planning to open a stall at the local market to raise awareness of the charity fundraisers and hopefully collect more funds for donation.

This offer is available for one week only, so get ordering your favourite pizza from Domino's this week and do your bit for charity at the same time.

"Stertil Stokvis provide telescopic loading dock levellers for Domino Pizza warehouse"

In a contract valued at almost £400,000, Stertil Stokvis has provided a 'one-stop shop' service to Domino's Pizza Group for the loading bay area at its busy new warehouse in Milton Keynes. Having outgrown its original site nearby, the pizza delivery company decided to relocate and approached Stertil Stokvis to supply a bespoke and fully-integrated loading bay system.

The Domino's warehouse accommodates up to 350 vehicles, of various sizes and types, each week. Stertil Stokvis provided 28 sets of X Series telescopic dock levellers and Combilok vehicle restraints, as well as sectional overhead doors, Combi-Seal dock shelters and scissor lift tables.

Stertil Stokvis X Series dock levellers incorporate a telescopic lip which extends in line with the platform. Precise control of the lip extension allows it to be placed accurately onto the rear of the vehicle deck, so that vehicles can be fully loaded or unloaded by pallet truck. The innovative Combilok is an effective vehicle restraint system that improves safety at loading bays during loading and unloading operations, preventing vehicles from being driven away until they are released by an operative within the loading bay.

Evening c2i.

Gut feeling really . I liked the bounce off the 450p and I think the profit takers have been satisfied. Papa Johns will definitely concentrate the minds of the Domino`s management and as we know it`s pretty high quality at DOM....good recent appointments too.

Hoping to see 500p before 450p now :-)

Well done philanaderer. What prompted your purchase today?

Yes they look to have found solid support at £4.50p. If support continues to hold then we could hopefully see the magic £5 before year end. I have had a look at the charts and found folllowing:

The previous pause in share price appreciation during the summer lull (of mid July to last August) lasted 25 trading days. This current pause as lasted 18 tradings day*. Furthermore it is 19 trading days since DOM hit their ytd high.

So we might be due a share price move North.
*The count will continue if we touch £4.50 again.

"Domino's Pizza store application for Watford refused"

A pizza delivery chain has been refused permission to open a new store in north Watford.

Domino's Pizza submitted plans to turn an office into a take-away in 229 St Albans Road.

The new store would have replaced the existing Domino's in 171 The Parade.

However, their application was turned down last month due to the noise and disturbance the large number of "home delivery vehicles" operating from the business would create for neighbouring residents.

The chain also failed to provide details about the size and appearance of access gates to the rear of the site.

A Domino's Pizza representative said: "Our recent planning application to relocate this store to 229 St. Albans Road has been denied and we have no plans to re-submit this application. We will continue to look for suitable alternative premises."

Evening c2i, many thanks...DOM 500p I would definitely agree with.

And another outlet:

Isle of Wight County Press

DOMINO'S, the pizza delivery company, has opened its first outlet on the Island with the creation of 35-plus jobs.

The store is in Union Street, Ryde, and it opened its doors on October 2.
Glen Drysdale, who lives on the Isle of Wight, along with Sat and Kal Gosal, are franchisees for the store.

The store is open 11am to 11pm seven days a week.
