Interim results are out, pretty much what everyone expected. Low single digit UK growth, disastrous international. The only bright spot is the (long overdue) resignation of the CEO and appointment of ex McDonalds VP of Marketing to Marketing Head of Domino's, hope this can stop the bleeding but will probably take over a year. hTTps://investors.dominos.co.uk/system/files/press/dominos_hy_2019_results_final_0.pdf

An old news release from their corporate website. We're far away from the 400 stores outside the UK (including 125 in Sweden) and haven't opened in Stockholm as targeted in 2018 below. hTTps://corporate.dominos.co.uk/news/domino%E2%80%99s-arrives-in-sweden-as-international-roll-out-gathers-pace "Domino’s Pizza, the UK’s favourite pizza brand has officially arrived in Sweden with the formal opening of the first Domino’s store in Malmӧ. ... DPG plans to open a further five to six stores in Malmӧ this year, followed by a first store in Stockholm in early 2018. The Group believes the Swedish market has a capacity to operate 125 Domino’s stores. ... In November 2016, DPG announced it had identified opportunities for a total of 400 stores outside the UK (excluding the Group’s joint venture in Germany). The Group also increased its long term store target for the UK to 1,600 stores, reflecting its successful strategy of splitting territories to improve efficiency and service to customers."

"There's no shortage of real good quality pizza joints over there" Could be but I don't believe that Domino's business model works on having the best tasting pizza in town, if that were the case companies like McDonald's wouldn't be selling that many burgers. From their initial plan they were looking at 100 stores in Sweden, I wonder what the revised number is.

I wonder if a hard brexit will boost the sales here, with a reduced restaurant footfall and more opting for takeaways?

Decent day with 20 week golden cross of 50 week EMA, and what looks like a bounce off descending triangle support and 200 day EMA. Follow through tomorrow and Wednesday would be good confirmation, with a crack at 280 thereafter.

Anyone know why they haven't opened in Stockholm yet? Would make a lot of sense to boost international sales and establishing their presence in Sweden.

Competition is good apparently? Lets see how the 2 month trial goes. I asked my niece why Dominos - it tastes better than the others.

Saw that this morning, not what we needed. If successful the other supermarkets will copy cat. We really need international expansion to fire up in the next few years to recover this share price This doesn't look too likely though from the recent RNS's. A beleaguered holder.

Looking at daily chart, TA would suggest that there should be some support at 259 which is the previous resistance of the descending triangle for the past 9 months. 260 is also the 62% fib retracement of the latest rally. Below that 200 day at 256 and 50 day and 50% fib at 254. One would expect (hope) for some support between 250/260.

I find that a slightly strange decision selling now, when the 20 day has just crossed through the 200 day, and all the weekly indicators about to go positive. I'd suggest that the bad news is probably in the price now and with this new CEO rumour, I'd be happy to average up from here. Good luck with your other holdings.

Shares in Domino's Pizza slumped after the company denied speculation that Andrew Rennie, the chief executive for Europe, was set to take over from UK & Ireland boss David Wild. Domino's stock had risen sharply on Thursday after Sky News said the company was in advanced talks to replace Wild with Rennie. But Domino's said in a statement on the ASX on Friday that there is "no substance" to the speculation, and that Rennie has confirmed he is "committed to his current role". By Adam Clark An executive at Australia's Domino's Pizza Enterprises Ltd. (DMP.AU) has denied a media report that he is being lined up as the next chief executive of struggling U.K. chain Domino's Pizza Group PLC (DOM.LN). Sky News reported Thursday that Andrew Rennie, CEO for Europe at Domino's Pizza Enterprises, was the leading candidate to be the next head of the London-listed company, replacing David Wild. The report sent shares of Domino's Pizza Group PLC up more than 10%, after issues with its international business and reported conflicts with U.K. franchisees knocked the stock over the last 12 months. However, Domino's Pizza Enterprises subsequently issued a statement on Friday saying there is "no substance" to the report and Mr. Rennie has confirmed he is committed to his current role. "As a senior executive in this business, and a significant holder of DMP shares, I am invested in our future and look forward to delivering on the growth plans we have outlined to the market," Mr. Rennie said in the statement.

Significant timing from a technical pov. A break of descending triangle at 262 would now hopefully be decent support. Lets see if theres any after market volume. Edit - looks like trading was suspended briefly for 5 mins just before 1600?
