Anyone had their divi today? ii usually credit accounts on the day. Most unusual not to have it in the account by close of play.

In my considerable experience very few boards have them.

I see our 'phantom downticker' is still hard at work. No board would be complete without one!

Encouraging little riss today.

Has anyone done an assessment as to what impact the reduction in the gas price will have on the non-cash valuation of the hedging portfolio?

Pay day tomorrow. I wonder if the share price will rise as holders use their divis to top up, or fall as those holding on for the divi sell out? It never ceases to surprise me that shares often fall as much or more on the payment date as the ex div date. Are there investors who do not know what 'ex div' means?

Just so people know this was the hedging position at 28/10/21

Hedging Update

Diversified continues to protect its cash flows by taking advantage of a strong macro outlook and the recent commodity price upswing. Since 30 June 2021, the Company has hedged an additional 5% and 25% (nominal) of 2022 and 2023 natural gas production at average floor prices of $3.93/Mcf(g) and $3.30/Mcf(g) , respectively. Diversified's incremental hedging has increased total hedged production to 75%(h) at a floor price of $3.02/Mcf(g) for 2022 and 55%(h) at a floor price of $2.87/Mcf(g) for 2023, within Diversified's targeted hedge ranges of forecasted production.

"Manchin still has a number of concerns, namely that budget gimmicks hide the true cost of the bill, and he's pushing to ensure it costs no more than $1.75 trillion. But he also is seeking to pare down the bill, which passed the House last month, in a number of other areas -- including paid family leave, a methane fee on emissions from energy producers and a Medicare expansion to cover hearing costs. And he's seeking changes to some of the provisions in the tax title of the bill, one of the sources said."

Aleman,

Not sure what the reason is, but when they gave the last update that was where they were.

I presume more is open this year due to the aquisitions?

Don't forget that futures prices are still seasonal and are lower in summer. This one for June 2025 is not even above $3 but the other months' contracts average over $3 through the year. I don't think they sell much at this distance, though, due to too much risk on production output and costs I would imagine? I'll also post June 23 which might be more relevant at the moment if there is still plenty to sell on as yet from acquisitions. (I assume you know these charts are from ADVFN. Click Forex dropdown - Energy - scroll down to Natural Gas NYMEX and work your way through the various dated contracts.)

Aleman,

Really appreciate you posting the charts. Moving into next year, which is only a month away, 25% of production will be open to spot prices and so becomes quite relevant then. Personally I am happy that they have left a little more unhedged as I am sure that the 75% that is hedged will cover the necessities. Rusty said at $3 they make a lot of cash and so the remaining 25% at hopefully over $4 is really going to add to the pot. Hopefully with the windfall they can target paying down the RCF so that in the event of a bargain buy they are in a position to pounce.
