Goodness, DEC is falling fast - currently is a one way bet. No decent investors will go in to buy now as investors know later or tomorrow , they can buy cheaper . Just a no brainer 😞 😞 😞

DEC Shareholders are now waiting for a good result later this month , failing so, DEC will see share price reaching £8 and then yield will be 40% . Shareholders are now fingers crossed and even toes crossed 😂

The dividend is perceived to be at high level because the share price has fallen off a cliff, as Rusty stated twice he sees no reason for the share price fall.

Until the update result is out sometime at the end of the month , DEC has just one direction Ie south as most investors lost confidence , as recent RNS didn’t stabilise the share price

Dividends dont come into it when the dividends + share price = less than purchase price of stock.

Congress have not even sharpened their teeth yet and finances are dreadful.

Rusty must be having a rough time at the moment with people pulling him in different directions, but to my mind there are 2 clear priorities:

1. An energetic, aggressive campaign of investor presentations to existing and potential new institutional investors. If Rusty truly believes there is a compelling investment case then it needs to be communicated. Hopefully to institutions that aren't infected with the current woke aversion to O&G, but to those that know the need for a reliable Gas supply isn't going away and that there's serious money to be made.
2. Address the dividend. If there's a long term commitment to the current high level, then with the current ridiculously high yield surely buybacks are a non-brainer. But alternatively if there's a consideration for reducing it, even if only temporarily, then this boil needs lancing and start saving the cash. All the market requires is clarity.

Get the valuation back firmly on an upwards trajectory, then acquisitions etc become far easier.
