03/12/2020 08:49 | 2D, Yes Grafysorber uses expanded graphite, but the process of creating graphene uses that expanded graphite in the next platelet exfoliation step, to create Graphene nanoplatelets. So it's the first part of creating all their products. Below taken from the Cenkos research note, which is available to download from their website. There's lots more explained about the process, but I've posted below just a bit Plasma super expansion The first production step is to expand the graphite using heat. Directa Plus’s production process is unique as it operates using a high temperature of around 10,000C in a process called PlasmaSuper-Expansio In order to achieve the 10,000C plasma, the company uses an atmospheric argon plasma supported by microwaves. This process requires just a few kW of power and so is cost effective despite the headline temperature of the process. At this temperature, the Intercalant agent evaporates suddenly which generates a shock wave in the graphite and expands it. This process expands graphite 300x (over three time more than other processes) and turns a relatively thick graphite platelet into an accordion or worm like structure of few layer platelets. Importantly the process does not damage the graphene lattice (no defects) nor does it oxidise any of the material (so no oxide functional groups) and there is no residual charge left from the intercalation step. This wormlike super expanded graphite used to be called Basic G+ and is now known as Grafysorber which is used in the environmental division. Platelet exfoliation The expanded graphite accordion like structure is then broken up into bits to create exfoliated graphene platelets. This is achieved by two different physical processes using air or water and with no chemicals of surfactants. The morphology is controlled by the exfoliation parameters. Air-shock exfoliation - 30-90 layer platelets to create Micro G+ Here the expanded graphite is fed into a milling chamber where particles spin in a vortex and crash into each other in a process called jet-milling. This creates graphene nanoplatelets which are called Micro G+ (and used to be called Ultra G+). Liquid phase exfoliation - 5-10 layer platelets in water In the liquid phase exfoliation, the super extended graphite worms are confined in water and subject to high pressure (water) to reduce the particle size. Both the thickness of the GNP (graphene nano platelet) and the platelet lateral dimension (diameter) can be reduced independently of each other. | itsyou
03/12/2020 08:29 | The improved production is liked to the graphite product not graphene! Still a good RNS though, but it should be remembered not all that they do is graphene. Upscaling production and proper commercialisation of graphene is still the challenge here and for their peers. | 2dinvestor
03/12/2020 07:31 | ..the Board is confident of achieving total revenues for the year ending 31 December 2020 of approximately €6.0 million, exceeding current consensus market expectations. ...This improvement in trading performance has been primarily driven by the sales of G+ enhanced face masks.. ...The new machinery has a production capacity at least five times higher, and is much more durable, than the Company's existing technology, | metis20
03/12/2020 07:17 | I like this from today's news release. Directa Plus was recently granted a second patent on the equipment used for the super-expansion of intercalated natural graphite in the Company's core plasma technology. The new machinery has a production capacity at least five times higher, and is much more durable, than the Company's existing technology, resulting in an increase in manufacturing capability and lower maintenance costs. The grant of the new patent protects the Company's core production process for an additional 20 years.Directa Plus seeks to build, maintain and expand its valuable portfolio of patents to protect key innovations and processes for the benefit of its shareholders. The Company's patent portfolio is currently composed of 38 patents and 24 pending patents, grouped together in some 15 patent families - four covering the Company's unique production process and 11 covering products and applications for G+(R) graphene. | beergut

30/11/2020 08:46 | slightly blue Today ,not good for the shorters . | bunz3
26/11/2020 09:54 | More sellers ,some look to be taking profits ,some who bought in around 60 earlier this week might be taking profits while still up around current share price . | bunz3
25/11/2020 21:22 | Yes. Makes me think that when the atom was cracked and if Oppenheimer etc were on AIM, there would be sellers at "90". Risk reward balance here massively on the DCTA side, in that maybe 30 % downside, several x upside. | bbluesky
25/11/2020 19:53 | Potential is enormous. This is the future. | mam fach
25/11/2020 19:10 | This could replace all lithium batteries. Just think of the potential in that. Expect new orders soon | shirley83
25/11/2020 17:02 | Price holding well considering huge increase. Agree to breakthrough 90p and hold might take a little time. Good sign that buys and sells pretty equal. GLA | mam fach

25/11/2020 11:55 | have looking at selling pattern over days since 40% share price rise , looks like shorters busy | bunz3
25/11/2020 11:42 | >>bunz I think you are deluded to think folk are shorting this - 90 is resistance and people who bought lower down will see 90 as a good offload point. | toffeeman
25/11/2020 11:18 | how worrying for the shorters to see blue Today | bunz3
25/11/2020 10:34 | shorters might have been thinking past number of days with share price dropping back some that might have brought share price back down to previous level before this weeks 40% share price rise . pleased to see blue Today ,if they try and lower share price idf enough buys might even cost the shorters money | bunz3
25/11/2020 10:31 | not good for the shorters blue day lets hope for more of a move up | bunz3
25/11/2020 10:29 | not good for the shorters blue day lets hope fior more of a move up | bunz3
25/11/2020 09:54 | "This is a fantastic achievement by NexTech and I congratulate the team. Material science and engineering are crucial in responding to global challenges such as increased demand in energy. For us at Directa, this also represents the opening of a new, high potential vertical market that could use large amounts of our products." | shirley83
25/11/2020 09:51 | This has MASSIVE potential. Billion dollar industry. Hold on tight. Mcap tiny6 | shirley83
24/11/2020 13:29 | these sellers not helping ,some might be from shorters to bring share price down . would good if more news soon ,would likely catch the shorters out . | bunz3
24/11/2020 13:19 | They could do with surprising the market with an update on one of their other projects imo. Looked very positive yesterday and interesting play on the better performing and cheaper batteries. Just whats a good entry price? | bad gateway
24/11/2020 13:04 | not only this share most of my shares in red Today . not liking seeing how much selling here Today . | bunz3
24/11/2020 12:21 | Disappointing to see this drop already Today ,sadly shorters look to be winning with this amount share price dropped already Today . | bunz3
24/11/2020 09:11 | Back to the 50s. Shorters dream | shirley83 |
