Lol well he won't get anything for signing on if he ends up with more than 16k in the bank from cashing in on his options

The bid was opportunistic in more than just valuation, as they sneaked a bid in before the new CEO could settle in the job. A new bid is likely. It may be that the new guy negotiates a deal, cashes in his options, and then heads to the unemployment office to sign on.

The Board has to act in the interests of their shareholders when making decisions about bid approaches. The large shareholders can pressure them if they feel the Board is not acting appropriately.A hostile bid is also possible, i.e. the potential acquirer can go direct to the target shareholder although they prefer to get an agreed offer where possible.

Personally, I'd be quite happy with a quid and shares to c.233p, but they aren't going to get it for that.

At what point does a bid have to be put to shareholders? Is it at the discretion of the board?

I agree jubber,

It's been a painful hold for a fair while now so to come out of it with a half decent return this year would be more than welcome.

Good luck all 👍🏻

Personally not interested in cash and shares so anything above 267 in cash gets the job done and i can leave this car crash of a share in my slipstream

I can’t tell if some of the posts are on topic or not as they’re written in some sort of new language, composed of what look like mental ADHD part-thoughts.

I suspect may you have a good point to make but it is very difficult to understand your written comments.Would it be possible to write it again in English with correct punctuation and grammar? Many people on this forum are not native speakers of English and so find it difficult to understand informal language. Thanks

Bearing in mind the BOD knew about this proposed bid of 233 almost a month ago how on earth did they allow the price to be walked down to 155 this am

Something stinks and I will not rest easy until the cause of that stench has been brought to light

Tread very warily.

The offer is far too low. DLG will turn this around within 6-12 months.
