16/10/2023 12:53 | Drifted down again lost almost all the gains from the results day. Looking at the circular released for the upcoming gm it states they are increasing the amount set aside for previous claims by another £20 million. Seems the kitchen sinking of bad news is not finished yet. | nellynell

11/10/2023 18:14 | What have they done to the ad campaign? Awful. Lost its dynamism, dull voice over and worse music. Ugh. | pander45
02/10/2023 14:01 | I drive an EV and the service stations are never an issue and the majority of people who use the chargers are very polite and courteous | ajr171166
01/10/2023 16:27 | Cost of EV repair is staggering as battery represents 50% cost of the car and ofyen is damaged and can't be repaired. It is also reported the motorway service stations are employing marshalls to deal with charging rage, people facing long queues at charging points and fights breaking outGood luck if you own an EV | coxsmn

23/9/2023 15:59 | Quite Pete, +2.6%/day will do nicely TYVM, now to keep on going... The WTD high was 185.80p on Monday, which I'll try and keep an eye on in the short-term. I also see that was higher than the preceeding Friday-15th high at 184.55p, Date / Volumes (LSE) / Price change on day: Mon-18th / 2.5mm / -1.7% Tue-19th / 3.1 / -0.9% Wed-20th / 4.1 / -1.1% Thu-21st / 5.5 / +2.6% (Daily low = 173.3p, perhaps now something of a floor?) Fri-22nd / 2.7 / -0.1% Net result = -1.3%/Week | jrphoenixw2

19/9/2023 12:22 | The main issue with buying Allianz is that it introduces currency risk in addition to performance risk. I believe that Allianz are much the best managed insurer across the global market - but if you take on an additional risk you want compensation for that in the price. | wba1
14/9/2023 17:11 | Perhaps buy some . | skinny
14/9/2023 16:47 | They are nowhere near competitive for me, they used to be one of cheapest every year. I have most of my policies with LV now who are cheap, straightforward and sewing up the market as far as I can see | che7win
14/9/2023 12:24 | It's always the way with DLG and motor insurance quotes, yet turnover seems to hold up around the £3.2bn mark. I wonder why that is? | boystown
14/9/2023 11:40 | For the past several years my car insurance has fluctuated between Admiral and Churchill (a DLG brand) sourced via an online comparison site. Personally I find having to re-enter my information into the Direct Line site each year, a faff when I can log on to a couple of comparison sites and everything is saved and ready. That said, on the couple of times I have tried Direct Line for a quote (as a shareholder and out of interest) the site has either declined to quote or the quote has been priced to make it uncompetitive. I haven't studied to see what the difference in cover between Direct Line and Churchill is ? | pete160
14/9/2023 11:13 | Just had to renew my car insurance and my current provider Aviva came in at roughly the cheapest when checking a price comparison site so will stick with them. Thought I'd also get a quote from Direct Line ........... it was DOUBLE my Aviva quote. I consider myself very low risk ..... no claims, low mileage, good area, kept in a garage, etc etc etc so maybe DL are targeting the high risk sector. Whatever the reason for their ridiculously high quote, they appear to be digging their already deep hole even deeper. How many guys and gals on here have their insurance with Direct Line? | thebutler
14/9/2023 10:44 | Berenberg raises Direct Line Insurance price target to 161 (152) pence - 'hold' | skinny
