28/6/2022 19:58 | More likely people who did not go to doctor during the pandemic and did not present for early diagnosis. I know of 3 people who left their cancers late to diagnose! I had to demand a bunch of screens that were due to me and got them because I was puchy, which many people are not. | velocytongo
28/6/2022 19:24 | In this paper, we call attention to three very important aspects of the safety profile of these vaccinations. First is the extensively documented subversion of innate immunity, primarily via suppression of IFN-α and its associated signaling cascade. This suppression will have a wide range of consequences, not the least of which include the reactivation of latent viral infections and the reduced ability to effectively combat future infections. Second is the dysregulation of the system for both preventing and detecting genetically driven malignant transformation within cells and the consequent potential for vaccination to promote those transformations. Third, mRNA vaccination potentially disrupts intracellular communication carried out by exosomes, and induces cells taking up spike glycoprotein mRNA to produce high levels of spike-glycoprotein-c | yikyak
28/6/2022 18:00 | Another week of above 5 yr av death rate - +1,444/+15.4%. Although great for DTY, why are no journalists asking why the death rate has been +9% above a 5 yr av that is already inflated by Covid. | velocytongo
26/6/2022 08:05 | So, the previous management that ran this business with a spreadsheet to play the private/public arb (buy a co with a p/e of 5 to get a p/e of 20+ from the market was unsustainable), and then eased up prices the whole time while scaling back investment in the estate and other assets. This attracted more competition and the ire of the regulators. Then layer on top of that the Ponzi scheme of the Prepaid funeral business which bought growth (via paying non-sensically and uneconomic high commissions to middlemen) and which the previous CFO dipped into to boost the numbers. Channon has stopped all of this and prevented an almost certain bankruptcy. Moreover, Channon has bought 30% of the company, unlike the previous management who used this business as a piggy bank to get rich quickly. I can only assume that Channonout is one of the following: Wiley, previous executives, or fronts for them. I have questions about the management style but the intentions are honest and the new CEO will make a difference. The next step is to find a permanent CFO. | velocytongo
24/6/2022 13:17 | Channon's gone but still pulling the strings behind the scenes, his toxic management succesfully tanking the sahre price. The puppet team left in place won't make a difference. Phoenix out! | channonout

21/6/2022 13:15 | VT - An elevated death rate 'should' feed through and lead to an elevated share price for the market leader.....in theory. IY - I don't see an explosion as such rather a continued heavy stream of unexpected serious illneses in the most unexpected candidates. Obviously far more noticable in the young and previously fit. | yikyak
21/6/2022 10:49 | 1,753 + (71.5%) above the 5 yr av for week ending 10th June. It was minus 1,261 (-15.6%) the week before. Since mid-March, the death rate has been below the 5-year av on 2 occasions. Total deaths YTD slightly above the 257,218 which +82 above the 5 yr av. Not really going to get involved in a discussion of the causes but the recent trend indicates an elevated death rate. VT | velocytongo

10/6/2022 19:04 | What's behind the 5,000 Non- Covid Excess Deaths in the Last Five Weeks? New official data from the ONS released today add a further 730 non-Covid excess deaths in England and Wales to the total of the last five weeks, bringing the figure to 4,964. This means nearly 5,000 more people than usual have died in England and Wales in the last five weeks of causes other than COVID-19. | yikyak
09/6/2022 11:26 | Interesting to see what they say at the AGM today. Death rate continues to be elevated. In England and Wales since the beginning of April the rate has been the following versus the 5 yr av: Apr 1 +1.7%% Apr 8 +3.6% Apr 15 - 6.3% Apr 22 +5.1% Apr 29 +21% May 6 +4.7% May 13 +22.4% May 20 + 14.0% May 27 + 10.1% The elevated death rate in the last weeks means that the total death YTD is 238,651 versus 239,061 if the rate had followed the 5-year av, which is already higher due to the pandemic. ONS is calculating the current 5 yr av using 2016, 17, 18, 19 and 21. The effect is to raise the 5 yr av by 6.3%. | velocytongo
06/6/2022 19:55 | Like Dignity is in the UK, Service Corp is the largest funeral and cremation services company in the US. Note how both shares were pretty much joined at the hip until 2017/2018. free stock charts from uk.advfn.com Could they meet up again? I think possible, especially given the UK's acm stats coming through but obviously reliant on the management getting their act together. | yikyak
31/5/2022 11:36 | In the last 4 weeks, the death rate has been 16% above the 5 yr av. Last 4 weeks Act 5 yr av 12,441 10,278 9,941 9,494 12,048 9,840 11,520 10,104 Total 45,950 39,716 6,234 15.7% | velocytongo
27/5/2022 08:39 | Keeping an eye on the death rate. YTD act deaths only 1.3% below the 5 year av. and DTY have started taking market share with the price reset. | velocytongo
16/5/2022 14:37 | Dignity plc is segmented into sub-divisions providing funeral services in the UK. The firm has established a long-term solution for the capital structure, in hopes of boosting profits. This initiative was incorporated into the firm’s EV/EBITDA of 15.11x, which is above its peers and thereby capturing intrinsic value. Consequently, it implies that the group’s financial position has continued to strengthen with P/FCF reaching 172.6x. Keep up to date with WealthOracle AM | km18

21/4/2022 14:02 | 8 Apr 2022 Act 10,687 5 yr av 10,316 Death rate staying at or above 5 yr av | velocytongo
12/4/2022 12:24 | The volume decline from the death rate - at 12% market share is insignificant - their problem is they are continuing to lose market share - let alone gain it. | tombomb
12/4/2022 11:54 | The company can not afford a margin hit and volume decline at the same time. | velocytongo
12/4/2022 11:47 | Because if the death rate falls off a cliff, as it was doing 6 weeks ago, DTY are in deep sh1t. The low pricing strategy to take market share will take time and dent profits in the short term, that's why the death rate needs to stay at nr 5 yr av to prevent a major covenant breach. | velocytongo
12/4/2022 11:36 | No idea - why you keep posting death rate. The small volumes that this will fluctuate by (that is across the whole country and all Funeral Directors) will have no bearing on DTY performance - despite what may have been said. The only way to grow is by winning share off competitors not relying on market changes. | tombomb
12/4/2022 09:47 | 1 Apr 2022 Deaths act 9,840 vs 5yr av 9,672 Still above the 5yr av. 5th week at or + 5yr av VTongo | velocytongo
