24/3/2020 17:19 | >>Smithie6 Will have a go: it all gets very techy quite quickly, but, basically, you do want a ventilator if in crisis with CoVid and, when on a ventilator, you really want to be on a cardiac output monitor CoVid 19 causes inflammatory responses which can trigger many different further problems. Part of the management of inflammation is to use fluids to optimise oxygen delivery around the body at times of crisis: effectively trying to minimise the internal swelling DEMG's Doppler technology is the best available to do this because it actually measures in real time the blood being pumped by the heart (see graphic on their homepage) and has very few confounders LID have also had a good bump in share price this week. Their tech is also useful even if derived from peripheral blood pressures. Its strength comes from measuring pulse pressure variation which is well validated in ventilated patients so long as certain settings are at certain levels and the patient is 100% mechanically ventilated (i.e. no spontaneous breathing) DEMG's monitors allow the same as LID's as well as Doppler so are perfect for both the sickest and the recovering patients. Some DEMG boxes also have the bio-impedance technology So, with all the noise around urgent NHS need for ventilators, it looks like the market is working out that, once ventilated, the patients also need high end cardiac output monitoring and DEMG has the highest end 'flow' offer as well as the more standard 'pressure' one | schloo
24/3/2020 14:47 | Thanks for the nudge Nobby.....it moved the market hehe | yet another final
24/3/2020 14:31 | Not jam tomorrow, DEMG is cashflow positive.... | nobbygnome
24/3/2020 14:28 | from lse website I saw an interesting post "iaintgotaclu Posts: 8,697 Price: 1.80 Strong Buy NiceToday 13:17 Chairman of mologic Ned at DEMG so fingers in buys here and the USA" ..(typo I think. 'fingers in pies') the virus is exploding into a big problem in New York & USA. | smithie6
24/3/2020 14:13 | or maybe its jam today if all the ICUs need their stuff | smithie6

24/3/2020 13:48 | thanks for the info this bit sounds interesting ..talking about the virus crisis "We have manufactured additional monitors and probes to ensure that we can cope with the additional demand" !! | smithie6
24/3/2020 13:32 | so someone bought at 2.3 they can now sell at 1.6 at lowish volume. a Loss around 35% without fees....dangerous days.....all in under an hour. | paddyfool
24/3/2020 13:32 | ICU is a battle ground.....the stats for recovering, and recovering well are frightening. Treatment in intensive care in 'constant' and must be optimal if you (intensivist) are going to manage properly, with the aim of 1) minimising the need for ventilator (prevention) 2) Reducing time on ventilator (treatment) 3) Minimizing damage, requiring other forms of therapy (eg kidney damage --> dialysis) 4) Reducing time in ICU (can move patients to lower dependency units, creating space for more needy patients- especially when there are not enough ventilators!!!) 5) less time in ICU, better long-term recovery So the ROI for any device reducing the impact of disease is positive | yet another final
24/3/2020 13:23 | It may have something to do with this message on their website. ICU'S need their kit... more likely it's meaningless . ' We fully appreciate that the NHS is facing an unprecedented disruption to the normal running of business over the coming months and many hospitals have requested that all non-essential supplier visits to the Trust are suspended. At Deltex Medical we are, as always, here to help where we can and will provide free access to haemodynamic monitoring for those patients that may require it within your ICU. We have manufactured additional monitors and probes to ensure that we can cope with the additional demand and will provide monitors on loan on a free of charge basis to those hospitals that require them. We will endeavour to fulfil all requests for monitors and probes within 48 hours, assuming we do not need to close our offices. Should the office be forced to close for any period of time, your local representatives will carry an emergency supply and can arrange local delivery. Our staff are all familiar with ITU practises and protocols and are available to support and train when and where they are needed and within all current guidelines. We also have free access to online clinical training and education to reduce face to face | ascov

24/3/2020 12:54 | "Deltex is a small but growing British company. It has a unique technology for measuring blood flow during surgery and in the intensive care setting to prevent hypovolaemia." can anyone translate that into something understandable for how the DEMG products are useful in this virus crisis ? | smithie6
24/3/2020 12:52 | Right lads, back into SNG! | myst1

24/3/2020 12:27 | Up 40% on about £20k worth of trades. Just imagine what would happen if there was some real volume. The MMs are trying to keep a lid on things because presumably they have been caught out a few times recently in these small stocks. | nobbygnome
