Debsdowner , Good News ,
You will need a new username account ,as yours will be of no use ,as Debenhams are going to dramatically recover .

A very good friend on mine has started a new venue , called ladygirls.

Run by residents in the south shore , private stuff if you know what I mean .

I have asked him to put you on the service user list .

I am away on holiday but when I return ,I will organise your first time there .

No need to worry about any payment as this is a free membership .

Drinks and food are at cost prices , obviously there will be some charges for the fun evenings .

Can you do a satire about Trolls , you have a flair for that kind of stuff.

Just watched that video. Thought he actually had some excellent points, he, levels up playing fields completely. He was certainly crystal clear on what he had to say!20% internet tax, game changer, makes a lot of senseBut it's not democratic is it. So it won't happen. And local high streets will continue to close

Maybe not the whole high street but many. Debenhams is FINISHED for the simple reason of not being able to meet current liabilities, of which there are over 600M while as current assets are 100m. ITS OVER,not worth it even at halp a penny

From Guardian -

"Debenhams said it had not ruled out any options, including an insolvency process that could speed up a plan to close up to 50 of its 165 UK stores over the next five years."

Exactly what I've been saying, except they haven't got five years or probably even one, they'll have to do a CVA or similar admin.

Without restructuring debt and lease obligations, this'll get the plug pulled, which seems to be what MA wants. Wouldn't touch this with a bargepole even at these levels, zero in this for shareholders now.

DRAPERS

"Retail analyst Nick Bubb said Bucher continuing as chief executive was not credible: “Symbolically it is a major defeat for the company (and a shocking result for its advisers), at a very sensitive time in terms of the discussions with the banks. And it is not tenable for the CEO not to be on the board. The danger now is that Mike is allowed, in all the confusion, to buy the company on the cheap.”

Sergio a "thorn in the side" more here:

There will be no value for shareholders Mike Ashley has a long term plan he isn't interested in short term losses.
