Richard Hyman an independent retail consultant and analyst spoke to The Irish Sun saying:

"Debenhams is fighting for its life. Everything is up for grabs and if the business does manage to to survive in its current form, it’s bound to mean massive downsizing.

"Even then, it would be a huge challenge to establish a viable footing in a market getting progressively more cutthroat."

"Paperchase has bought in advisors to help draw up a plan to close stores, the Daily Telegraph reports.
Advisors from KPMG are working on a Company Voluntary Arrangement, which allows firms to close stores and negotiate lower rents.
Paperchase has 130 stores in the UK and another 30 in Europe and the Middle East."

Suppliers worried about latest saga in Debtenhanms which isn't surprising.



Some supplier could start to wind down or stop supplying stock to Debtenhmams following what happened at House of Fraser.

If that happened it would place the company in far serious trouble even to any remaining stores.

The situation deteriorating by the hour.

The company as good as bust now.

Precisely but they leave it too late as its too late at 2 pence 1-2 pence range is gamblers stock now.

Debtenhams isn't a investment a fundraise will wipe out all shareholders equity.

Ordinary shareholder at the end of the que in administration.

JP Morgan Cazenove today reaffirms its underweight investment rating on Debenhams PLC (LON:DEB) and cut its price target to 2p (from 7p).
