10/12/2020 17:32 | Stop moaning man. Only this week another company said "It has proved to be a long haul since shareholders voted in 2013 for an orderly realisation of assets"!!! | eezymunny
10/12/2020 16:38 | I wonder where this ranks in the "the slowest liquidations of all time" list. It must be right up there. Was it 5 years ago they started? Shareholders haven't seen a bean yet. My cat could have done a better job than this mob. | hugepants
09/12/2020 16:27 | This stock is the pits | hugepants
16/10/2020 13:27 | Not the best news today, but perhaps not too relevant with a 3p share we hope is worth 10p+. Might extend timescales (again) tho. | spectoacc
14/10/2020 09:35 | Thanks Tilton! | frazboy
14/10/2020 08:51 | Trades went through at 3.2p | tiltonboy
14/10/2020 08:15 | "one must wonder on what basis the seller came to the conclusion that 3.3p" We have no idea what price they exited at. In saying that I'm assuming (ass, you? me?) that it was an off-book trade and thus the price will never be known. | frazboy
13/10/2020 09:23 | more smart money coming into the DCI stock. the most recent buyer is a very clever organisation and most likely have done a indepth search on the DCI assets. it does not take much of tailwind to see DCI paying out 10p to shareholders over a year or two. one must wonder on what basis the seller came to the conclusion that 3.3p was a good level to exit...........they probably dont care as it is OPM. | baner
03/9/2020 10:47 | Tilton - one thing I was wondering about, was, how much cash they have left? Might favour a quick round up rather than raise against assets? Just a random thought. Edit: apologies, being a bit daft, the approved wind up deadline is end 2021, not 2020. Cash won’t last until then so presumably a borrow of some sort will be required. | frazboy
03/9/2020 09:56 | Edited. Thanks frazboy. For some reason, I thought it was this year. | tiltonboy
03/9/2020 08:15 | ready for take off - sorry EezyMunny but if you are short in this one you will be greatly disappointed! could well end up double digit share price in a years time. low risk. | baner
26/8/2020 15:23 | Two hours drive from airport and the villa designer must have come from a cardboard box design team. Will they sell any? Might be a few mugs! | eezymunny
26/8/2020 13:23 | Pretty impressive: hxxps://www.mykilada | tiltonboy
07/8/2020 09:37 | apollo yes this info is as ancient as the akropolis! DCI is debt free at the parent with only small non-recourse loan in one of the subs. this is what make the risk/reward so attractive here. not much of a downside, huge upside. | baner
05/8/2020 16:19 | @rjmahan - So this Morningstar data is probably out of date. Thanks | apollocreed1
04/8/2020 20:17 | I believe (from memory) its all been paid back. | rjmahan
02/8/2020 07:00 | I was just looking at the "Structure" section for Investment Trust rankings on the AJ Bell website. It states that Gross Gearing for DCI is 98%. Isn't that quite risky? What if the banks call in their loans? | apollocreed1
22/6/2020 08:01 | DCI making good progress - zoning at apollo very good news! and with both Kea and Kilada in construction phase it should be possible to realize substantial values for DCI shareholders also in a short term perspecitive - before end of 2021 looks realistic. in total north of 10p should be achievable. very sound risk/reward. | baner
03/6/2020 10:37 | Looking a decent punt | my retirement fund
03/6/2020 10:23 | just read the Annual Report and this is looking increasingly good! no parent debt and/or guarantees outstanding. so everything realized (net) will be distributed to shareholders - i would not be surprised to see 10p or better coming out of this in a year or two. greece now opening up will no doubt help. extremely attractive risk/reward. | baner
28/4/2020 19:52 | something cooking here.......? €1bn of cash injection has been turned into €25m in a few years - quite an achievement!surely Gillenhammer has done some research on these assets - the company is debt free with some excellent assets to be sold - 10p/share to be raised and distributed to shareholders - or will mr G try to buy this on the cheap to pocket the surplus for himself ??? | baner
06/4/2020 14:50 | I quite liked the RNS this morning. OK, so the standard "It's all gone to sh*t thanks to Corvid-19", but sounded like a willingness to cut costs, rapidly move towards sales, and full return to shareholders as and when they do. I'm bearish on Covid but bullish on DCI. | spectoacc
29/12/2019 07:42 | Lol - ta. That explains it. | spectoacc
27/12/2019 20:20 | Saw that last week, but it's not DCI | tiltonboy
27/12/2019 18:29 | Interesting! Thanks @HP. Greece already has a floating hotel - it's called Rhodes. A move into cruise ships is, er, interesting tho, particularly for something I was expecting to be winding up before long. Also: "Dolphin also runs a Museum of Illusions in Istanbul and is currently constructing another five such venues in Madrid, Thessaloniki, New Delhi, Porto and Orlando; and planning another 13 to open in 2020. According to Kambourides, Dolphin’s goal in the next five years is to create more than 50 Museums of Illusions in various locations around the world, either individually or in collaboration with other investors" | spectoacc |
