I'm guessing they had some kind of steer to 95 p eps.. I was thinking the same regard Ryan and an opportunity to buy some on the current DTG weekness picked up at 906 and 915 and as it fell past 934. Same applies to TC these guys are feeling the pain and its only just started as DTG gains more coverage. In their shoes it's difficult to find a way to compete apart from price. Keep servicing the hell out of the customers and its happy days. At 95 eps must be a big buy still at these current levels.. I wish I had bought more on the up like CF those trading opportunities are far and few..

Snorkl .. cannacord assuming 95p for 2019 .. Rya’s woes are jet2’s blessings .. customers at stanstead now have another option and a company that treats them well .. I expect winter losses to substantially reduce and this will give the numbers a big boost .. w1

Just gives us a bit more profit!

86 planes flew this morning.

We are now at full tilt.

Also not forgetting the 530 mill of shareholder assets, with virtually no goodwill on the balance sheet, oh and 1bill in the bank.. A look at a few other peer companies in the holiday space paints a different picture..

Fall out from RYA numbers, fundamentally nothing has changed. Strong BUY

Current PE is as follows? 9.2 current share price / basic EPS 0.7459 = 12.4But should be cheap if we get the kind of growth expected over the next couple of years... Bought back some cfds sold on the upper 9's last week

Assuming 100p, 9.2 times is not expensive for a business expected to grow earnings by 50% next year!

High p.e 18, IAG (British Airways forecast 7.66) Dart seems expensive to me.

It appears that Ryannair are under pressure from Jet2 at Stanstead. Jet2's adverts are all over London buses. Meeson has clearly looked at RYA's near 20% operating margins and wants a piece of that action. WizzAir are also after those RYA margins. More pain for RYA means that Jet2 medicine is working! RYA's op margin down from 21% to 15% in Q1

Spotted this today
Doesn't seem to reflect badly on Jet2 - could be viewed positively as a sensible way to provide extra capacity in peak season.

Shaker

I think they will stick with the Boeing model.
The 757 fleet maybe replaced with the 737/max.

My pal flew in yesterday from Faro to Leeds on yet another full flight

tiger, I read that Easyjet are likely to switch some of their airbus 189 seaters on order to 235 seaters. seems a great idea so long as they can put bums on seats.
I think jet2 only have 11 235 seater 757's
and not sure if they have enough outstanding deliveries of 189 seaters left to switch if they wanted too.
any thoughts?

Growth may slow but down to 30% imho. Still plenty to go for in the South East. Moreover, LGW and Bristol offer great opportunity.

All good points shaker44 but all in the public domain of course. I see Brexit as the greatest uncertainty. I need to understand this better. There's talk of non-EU operators not being able to fly A-B within Europe, but surely Dart routes are exclusively UK-Europe so might not be affected so much?

That said, Philip Meeson's early career as a Marlboro Pitts display pilot perhaps subconsciously influenced my original investment decision - you need to be exceptionally thorough, disciplined and cool under pressure to survive that environment. So another risk would be succession planning - he won't go on for ever!

Competition is another risk - wasn't there a recent wobble when Easyjet announced they would enter the holidays market?

Fuel cost pressure should decrease later this year as we move below 70 ( he says )
The rest well.... the biggest danger is loosing a plane. 80 in the air 18 hours a day each doing 4 sectors adds to the risk.
Overall DTG are doing things well and there is still lots of the Uk to go for.

very positive. but what risks do you see tiger? fuel costs? strikes? brexit/open skies -3/2019? terrorism? airport capacity? others???
clearly 13/1400 share price by july 2019 is not an open goal

I have never read such rubbish in the IC.

Having looked at this, I feel pretty confident that I can gain a further 30/40% upside in 12 months.
Downside ....risk hardly any as with close on 100p eps the valuation 10x =1000p

room for upgrades as well.

I initially bought at 100p and continued to buy as the price dropped to the mid 30's, unfortunately sold at 250 and repurchased later. It has been an interesting share to follow. From a customer point of view, I find the airport staff so much more friendly and helpful compared to the competitors and the 22kg baggage allowance is the clincher especially when skiing.
