Yes QCM at 0.38% short now so no longer reportable. They seem to have totally capitulated so the share price may yet benefit from the remaining position being closed.
We'll see.
It's a dangerous naked short to hold. A bit of positive news and a spike could happen.
Either way things look a lot better.

Take a read of the Data in the Tweet, you can see the price go down when the short is opened, and you can see as the shorts are closed (they buy it back) the shorts get out more aggressively than the buybacks thus pushing up the price . Look at the values and compare. The shorts are pushing up the price but closing the positions , not the buys. I've done many of these trades using the Short D I coded. They work well, as has this one.

Wace short today is worth £20m it's-at 1.07% of the company, their short killed the price along with Quints, Quint closing pushed the price up, Wace tshort will unkill it they are under water and I'd expect they want to be out before results... Keep your eyes peeled.

The float is small and the buybacks would have the overall advantage over the shorts buddy.

The shorts closing pushed the price up. Buybacks rarely do that, they are massaged in to stop the company spiking itself.

We want WACE to further close, results circa 2 weeks, should have a good outlook, could be ahead of expectations slightly. £/$ with a stronger outlook.

No worries but that's not my question buddy. The upward momentum with buybacks is diminishing so I can't envisage it to rise much beyond the 100EMA and no more than 10% from where it currently resides and whether that actually happens isn't a certainty with the volatility that we're currently seeing in the US!

My site is updated faster than short tracker, one sec, I'll post a Tweet with images. WACE have £20m to close and they have started. This is up over 18% since my ShortD crossed and flagged is as a buy.

I can't see it confirmed yet but I'll take your word for it Albert and why compete against the buybacks when there's not enough liquidity for the shorts to do their thing in the market but what transpires after DTs little exercise will be very interesting to watch of how the company fulfils its longer-term ambitions!

It's going to be a struggle to remain over the 50EMA let alone the 200!

Albert agreed £3.42 is not a bad call.

Let’s see, I would also be surprised if there wasn’t another player out there interested in buying Darktrace as it looks like tech shares will be back in vogue this year and it’s definitely not overvalued anymore.

I'd not consider exiting until the shorts are closed, and we're at least at the 200EMA. That's where this is going IMO, buybacks, closing shorts. And results coming with a stronger £/$ results are until December 2022, I think this will change the outlook.. 200EMA is always a good profit slicing area.

Sally yes the game is when to exit, I suspect now we’re at £2.70, £3 may not be too much of a stretch as the charts will appeal to many investors as well. I would imagine the shorts will close further and then it’s about the results. If those results contain something negative then we may find ourselves back down in the lower £2s, however if they contain some positive news and an upbeat outlook £3.50-4 could come very quickly indeed. No doubt the shorts have started to sense this ;)

Listen the short term trend is definitely up, no doubt, however long term is anyones guess. The shorters game for a number of reasons has failed but that’s not to say Darktrace is a long term win. I plan to exit as soon as it becomes clear the trend has run its course. That may be £2.75, £3 or maybe £3.50 but at that point i’ll take my nice profit and sit and observe. I may wait til just before or after earnings, I suspect Darktrace will be a great traders share, however guessing long term winners is much harder than the short term I have learnt that the hard way over the years ;0

267.13 is the 50EMA, once we get past that 100EMA 298 then 200EMA 342, that's the kinds of trajectory I think will come here.

Are you for real Plunger?

...Their buyback exercise is to reduce the impact of MLs family holding in the underlying market except their a 'Growth' stock in a fast becoming saturated market but with growth slowing significantly, is it really wise to continue in consolidating their buybacks when their coffers are brimming supposedly!

...Watch the detriment it causes to their share price in future, make no fu_ckin mistake!

Marshall Wace have a larger short holding and they are pulling too, let's see, new data just after 16:30, usually you can tell they are closing when the price starts to twitch around randomly,
