21/1/2002 08:38 | Sorry share price :-), I just made it clear that this thread header is for everyone who is trying to sell dnk as high as possible eventually and also to get the best chance to go in & out again and again when we are riding up. Of course price can go up as well as down and is not guaranteed that all of us can win, so DYOR. | oaklandsway

18/1/2002 19:17 | TAKEN FROM YAHOO DISCUSSION: Alert Message Price up sharply on unusually high volume. Alert Description This alert signals that a company's stock price has jumped by at least 5% on trading volume that is at least three times the average daily volume of the last 13 weeks. Volume is the fuel of the market, since stock prices only move up or down when shares are trading hands. Most stocks trade hands at an even pace for days or weeks at a stretch until special events occur. Those events might be rather ordinary, such as an announcement of earnings, a new product or new executive. Or they might be extraordinary, such as a merger or a new corporate alliance. Sometimes, however, trading volume spikes upward and the price moves higher for no apparent reason. Very often it ultimately turns out that the reason was major purchases of the stock by large institutions, hedge funds, mutual funds or private investors. The stealthy entry of strong players into a stock with enough buying power to boost volume by more than 200% and buoy the price is bullish for current investors. These major players are generally more knowledgeable and critical about their investments than individual investors -- and their entry at a particular price tends to set a floor for the future trading of a stock. | oaklandsway
18/1/2002 18:50 | sp, in depth discussion on danka had been done when the company was being restructured and refinanced (see archive in yahoo, rangingbull, iii, previous thread in advfn). we do not need to repeat again here because we just need to enjoy watching a share price that will come back to what it should be after being able to avoid chapter 11 and finally will create net profit again. I just want to discuss in depth about this company to analyse the next earning report if I decide to stay. IMO. | oaklandsway
18/1/2002 18:18 | jag, I wrote new thread about thus although I have no interest to purchase as the trend is down. Please trace the financial condition about egs, are they in trouble? IMO, twt is better than those two for day trading as the price will tend to go up or down to 60p (everytime it went down or up caused by the tech sentiment). DYOR. back to dnk, i am happy with what is going on in US this week. | oaklandsway
18/1/2002 17:58 | Up more on the Nas - let's hope it closes that way DANKY Nasdaq-SCM $ 1.72 0.049 2.93% 290,800 | serious punter
18/1/2002 17:26 | cossie IMVHO & DYOR From my research DNK look a great recovery stock and oaklandsway seems to be not far off the mark. Its appears to be paticularly sensitive to the Nas. I believe results are due out early Feb and rumoured to be good. A few contributors on thread add a constructive dimension, but not to the depth we are used to on EDG | serious punter
18/1/2002 17:17 | oaklandsway: holding well is dnk at nas(hope we see a good rise today), can you please give your views on thus. i managed to sell twt at 56.25 and in again at 55p,but got 100k of thus now at 46p.(worried about egs) | ![]() jagluthra

18/1/2002 10:30 | God it's Friday again, will player in US take profit today? flat trading as investors ready for weekend break? Or, they will push the price first early morning or later in the evening before making plan for weekend break? Above all, the chart says that if the rally can happen to follow three consecutive days of accumulation then we could see another breakout with target max of around 37p. Once again depends on volume of trading and fresh money flowing in. Profit takers will watch closer. I play long for this so gradual upward technical support is better but I won't be surprise if we see Danky will break new 52-weeks high again and again, which had been done yesterday at $1.75 with much lower volume of trading comparing two weeks ago. Good luck & see you in a bit. | oaklandsway
18/1/2002 09:52 | Just spoken to Danka's company secretariat. The results will be announced at "the end of the first week in February". Nice thread you have going here Jayno holder | jayno
17/1/2002 23:51 | Jag, you bought twt, egs & thus at the same time. They are in the same sector (telcos & tech) in which today's results of microsoft, ibm & nortel could affect those three toward same direction. So, you seem to play all out here. I do not think we are in tech booming but almost every US tech company will report mixed between positive & negative for earning and next quarter outlook so good for day traders that can play fast. Are you sure you can manage to play fast for those three stocks as you might need to execute almost at the same time. I do not like "stop-lost game". Back to danka, there could be a hot game tomorrow or next week. Watch it out! | oaklandsway
17/1/2002 22:06 | Jag, dump the first 2 and keep the third. | ![]() cinoib |
