25/1/2002 10:23 | Can anyone help me with layman like terminology for using "RSI" charts, I`m involved in a small share club and Danka has been our first real success, after feeling smug a few days ago I`m now starting to feel sick! We bought our DNK shares a long while ago @15p and watched and waited, our club constitution meant that when our sell price was reached we did just that and sold!....yes you guessed it, it reached 30p after threating for some weeks and we sold, happy in our brief moment of success I started to read more of these threads and sure enough the stock continued to climb, hence my feeling of nausea!!!! Well back to my plea for techno help in regard of using charts etc, the guy who runs the club has mentioned the "RSI" as a useful tool and I was trying to explore its usage across our club portfolio and potential stock buys in the future, but was unable to understand the perameters used by ADVFN for RSI in conjunction with forming a chart, for example when the period field requires populating, what does that actually mean? as the snapshot of period time is covered by the start and end dates entered and type of chart 1 day 2 day 6 months etc. So if anyone can help a thick newbie share clubber such as myself I would be eternally greatful!! | nezzer
25/1/2002 10:02 | I think 53 is reasonable. There's enthusiasm on the US side and it could have another bull afternoon there when the NAS opens. I spent some time this morning reading back over the history of the debt repayment and operating cash arrangements made by DANKA and its banks since last summer. Very impressive (the Markets like a company that cuts its cloth and does what's necessary), and now the trading profits are in an upward mode again, I can see why folk see it as a good recovery play. You have to surmise that the results are going to be more than reassuring. Jayno | jayno
25/1/2002 09:59 | oaklandsway Have you got L2? IMHO the 53p looks very realistic, the Nas after hours was $2.80 (46.6p). The volume seems to building daily, 3+ mil yesterday, 2+ mill Wed etc. Nobody seems to be profit taking over the pond, therefore I conclude DANKY is perceived to have a considerable upside still to come. As you can see from the chart below everything is strong. The RSI whilst showing overbought is negated by the daily increase in volumes. Volumes are increasing as you know because of investor confidence in the figs due to be released at the end of the first week in Feb. Happy trading DYOR. | serious punter
25/1/2002 09:45 | sp, you seem to have better data than me. MMs can't afford to sell at 48p if nobody want to give them under that price. Is your closing target still 53p for today? | oaklandsway
25/1/2002 09:27 | PWcarnell - I know you are referring to mms and L2, which I don't have, but can you please explain the significance of 1 on bid 2 on offer. Thanks | webley
25/1/2002 09:16 | MMs really short of stock - Beware Tree Shaking has commenced, don't lose your head and money. I'm surprised they haven't started earlier. | serious punter

25/1/2002 07:51 | Well, I am beginning to realize now: if 55c can be beaten this year (and this is the reason for institutions buying big blocks everyday) then some analyst might start to estimate the earning for next fiscal year (starting 1 July 2002). If the estimated number is bigger then the price could break $10. Frankly, I wanna to take profit but wait until institutions take a break because if institutions keep buying then MMs will try to get from our hands. Buy before institutions did! and sell when they start taking a brake. | oaklandsway
25/1/2002 01:32 | There is some big talk of this share rocketing into orbit. My question is. If it was your last thousand pound would you buy now. I held some of this in the past and did quite well sub 20p. When do they report....? All advice welcome | njs68

24/1/2002 21:55 | If up again 50% a week for two more weeks before earning, 2.76 to 4.14 next week 4.14 to 6.21 the following week That sounds too much, dosn't it? because the earning can take it to $9. No, I just want to put it in my dream if I can sleep tonight. | oaklandsway
24/1/2002 21:53 | nmurrells Beings you are staying up, keep an eye on the after hours extended trading period on the Nas. Just now DANKY was up 66c (11p). Last trade reported 1 minute after close. Goodnight All | serious punter
