08/1/2002 11:34 | Jag, the trading volume here is still very low and almost "no initiatives to buy" yet since no analysts and fund managers in UK had picked this stock yet. Secondly, few traders are taking profit already so if US DANKY can't stay above $1.60 by the end of trading hours in London then DNK could fall but if DANKY went up above $1.70 then we will see DNK to go up. I believe, from looking chart, DANKY will break $1.80 (if the trading volume in US can stay over 1.5M shares) but on Friday US traders could start taking profit then the following week we will see the real technical support before next earning, which I hope around $...... (sorry I can't disclose my prediction yet). | oaklandsway
08/1/2002 11:20 | oaklandsway: last nights after hrs close was 1.66$,price here is not quite reflecting that, why?, any ideas | jagluth
08/1/2002 10:45 | Hi Itstelboy, 50p-60p next month is not impossible but price will tend to be relistic to follow PE ratio after next earning report plus fund managers will value the future outlook on top of that PE ratio as the sector of the ofiice business in US has been turning around. So, the amount of increase in revenue and the future prediction will be very significant! The good news is that the CEO has been trying hard to maintain the gross profit margin at the level of 34% of the revenue and to sort out debt repayment faster. From those three factors above, we should be able to predict the OVERALL company's profile in the near future. I am waiting for the data of next earning report but won't be surprised if DANKY will come back to $5-$10 a share within 12 months. | oaklandsway
08/1/2002 10:06 | filster - the correlation between the nasdaq price and the FTSE price - devide by 6 is quite accurate. The maths behind the figure are:- the US have 60,438,000 shares in circulation wheras we have 248 million. Therefore devide the UK holding by the US holding = 4.103378 then apply todays exchange rate .6911 £/$ (viewed from the US end) which gives a final figure of:- 5.93746 | itstelboy
08/1/2002 09:41 | There are rumours in the Industry that some of the major Japanese manufacturers might be interested in this company and its distribution channels, Such a steep rise as this in a short period raises questions, Is there stake building? volumes have increased | willjam
08/1/2002 09:34 | Hi OAKLANDSWAY I'm with you all the way, I think there's even a distinct possibility that it could even break through 50p or 60p levels if Q3 results are good, as institutions begin to pile on board. | itstelboy
08/1/2002 08:21 | oaklandsway, u r a genius | psps
07/1/2002 23:47 | Quick way divide it by 6. As for reasons for the price rise, this was once a 40 dollar stock. World volume player that suffered after the dot com boom. Digitalised products when clients were holding back investment. Huge debt that is now restructured for 4 years. Last year earnings per share were at minus a dollar 50 or thereabouts. This year expect a plus of around 55 cents. The share is expected to soar to about 4 dollars in the States on that kind of announcement. Check the graphs over the last 4 years to see how this one rockets on any sign of a profit. That is because of its huge turnover. Possible to see a quick rise and a continued uptrend this year to the 65p mark. It has made many wait a very long time but is possibly the best bet to actually get back up to the 10 dollar mark over the next couple of years. Add to this some excitement on boards in the States that a buyer for the whole or a substantial ammount of the company is about. The current management has worked hard to manage the debt and sold a fair bit of dead wood and property. Well worth a punt as at its very worst the downside is very limited at these levels especially now that few short positions exsist and with results in February. This recent rise has been on the whisper of profit the reality will at least double it. All my own opinions and as I have my position sorted I don,t care who knows about it anymore. I have no need to ramp it they will do that over the pond for us. This stock always follows the State side market | crusty lilly
