05/11/2003 12:38 | no danka investors left except johny and myself ? | moneypm
05/11/2003 08:31 | moneypm, I agree. The turnover is down 10% every 6 months - 37% profit on that less £92m per 6 months admin exes then add in £18.6m saving from cost cutting Therefor if they make £18.6m profit because of that then they are worth at least £180m = 72p/share at least - fill ya boots | johnymac
04/11/2003 22:35 | johny went through the accounts again today and it shed a different light. The loss today is mostly one off exceptionals. More importantly they generated over £23m ($38m) of free cash. Thats quite a sizable amount for a company capitalised at £115m. It now has cash of £58m ($98m). They also increased margins. Whats more they gave guidance going forward which i believe is the first time for a while. Investors liked the conference call and the shares ending on nadsaq +18c. | moneypm
04/11/2003 21:52 | Should get all the dnk losses back tomorrow morning on a mark up with a good recovery in the US tonight. With the worst quarter now over, cash in the bank, job cutbacks, real estate selling and streamlining of the business, not to mention the very expensive Oracle system now implemented worldwide, this could now be one to watch in the future. | johnymac
04/11/2003 17:33 | wow, danky is up in the US as i write. | moneypm
04/11/2003 14:50 | Danky in the US has taken the results in their stride. I have bought 20,000 @ 41.25 | moneypm
04/11/2003 13:50 | can someone explain this to me in simple english : Second Half Outlook The company continues to expect that Fiscal Year 2004 revenue will approach that of Fiscal Year 2003. Due to the lower than expected Adjusted EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, amortization and write-off of debt issuance costs - see reconciliation to GAAP on page 10) in the first half of Fiscal Year 2004 and the above-referenced cost reduction plan, the company no longer expects that Adjusted EBITDA for Fiscal Year 2004 will be substantially in line with Fiscal Year 2003. However, the company does expect Adjusted EBITDA excluding restructuring charges/(credits) in the second half to be stronger than Adjusted EBITDA in the first half of the year. | moneypm
04/11/2003 13:43 | Agree. Just sold 5000 at 42p. | zedder
04/11/2003 13:42 | not very pleasing results. | moneypm
03/11/2003 14:30 | Thanks Zedder, very usefull links. Lets wait and see now... | arapo
03/11/2003 13:50 | If you would like to watch the price action from one of the US MMs (Archipelago) then click the following link and type DANKY into the box at the top. Initial indications seem to be that the UK market has got ahead of itself a bit: Another useful site which often gives a good indicator of a 'Big' day ahead in the US, is the NASDAQ extended trade information. Again not much happening here at present: | zedder
03/11/2003 13:08 | Daz, I am tempted to off load the whole lot, to be honest, but might wait until tomorrow before the results are out.. Just in case. From my previous experience with this stock, it is, as you say, a gamble. | arapo
03/11/2003 12:13 | arapo I'm in the same boat bought at 39p But if the selling price hits 46p today I'm selling half and take a gamble on the other half tommorow. I have no idea where it's going tommorow. | daz1966
03/11/2003 12:01 | Miata, What happens after the results will be, for one more time, very interesting. Everyone seems to be a bit pessimistic about it, any positive views at all?? I am in at the moment, bought in at 39p, and not sure whether to hold or bail out...? | arapo
03/11/2003 10:43 | Now up to 47p from Friday's 39/41.5p. Buying just prior to results is normal with this share. | miata
31/10/2003 18:09 | jump was on light volume though.. | panagos
31/10/2003 16:31 | where did that come from ? up 10% Monday will be interesting ! | daz1966
